Hello

I been quiet busy the last few weeks, but here is the update in my case.

I landed yesterday in Etobicoke, the landing interview is nothing to worry about, the agent was really friendly. I arrived to the immigration office around 9:45 but the room was crowded, so i waited for about 2 hours to get my interview, the agent ask my sponsor for ID and asked if she is working, then she asked me the three typical questions: have you been convicted in canada? have you ever been deny to entry? do you have children not declared in the application?...... and then i signed the CORP... " she was really nice and welcomed to canada as a new permanent resident"..... Then i waited for 40 minutes to get my SIN...

We are officially done, and the waiting time for the PR card is 43 days, hopefully i'll get it before Christmas time... I'll let you know guys!

Thanks for your feedback on your landing. I will update timesheet as soon as my computer network is up and running. Otherwise will have to wait til Monday.

Hi every one, im just wondering how long will take for Dakar VO to examine or verify minor non as non accompanied ?
Dakar received their medicals already and their IM0008 and other supporting doc, suc as birth certificate, passports copies and photos has been received by Dakar week ago , im sponsoring my wife inland she's waiting for her DM but until Dakar verify her kids, her ecase =1 .Applications received 2.we start processing your application dec 21 2013
3.Medical results received
She got her AIP since jan 28 2013 , she's kind of stressed

Sucks a lot when you have a dependant outside the country, I got my AIP February and still waiting for Accra office to finalize my sons file even though he is not accompanying, though I had difficulties in having him do his medicals because of ex, but was lucky to convince her and he did it by august. Don't know how long Accra office takes just to confirm medicals to cic vegreville , hopefully soon . This waiting is driving me nuts !!!

CIC should have the medical result already if they did a eMedical exam.

Screech you are right just got off phone with my mp and he said cic got the medicals already, and said I should be hearing something from cic this month, because my child medicals was the only thing delaying my file so am glad they got it now. Hopefully I hear some news soon.

Yesterday I called CIC and they said they sent out the mail since 28Oct. I double checked my address with them and it is a right address.

I'll wait and see on Monday again and if I haven't got it I will call them. Do you have any bad experience that the mail might be missing or some sort?

I didn't get anything from CIC. Neither email nor physical mail, at this point telling me anything about my base. The 'consultant' received my husbands sponsorship approval email, but for myself, I never received an AIP email or an application in processing, or a DM or anything from CIC. When I called in regards to this, last week on the 1st, I was informed there was a 'letter' in my file that had not yet been sent. I asked when it would be 'sent'. The rep responded she didn't' know and I should wait a couple weeks and call back. I had to call back this past Monday regarding a 'typo' on their part, they spelled my middle name oh so wrong, and when I asked THAT rep about the letter, she said she didn't see any letter, and that nothing had been mailed other than my husbands 'email' from the 28th.

Long story short, yes indeed, CIC is consistently inconsistent. I would hazard a guess than 97% of the folks who have been waiting for that strike to be over have received AIP/DM same day or within a couple days. Hell, I don't even 'technically' know that I have gotten AIP, since they haven't bothered snail mailing/emailing/camel backing/telegraphing or even Morse code to get me an answer ...

Hello!!! I got DM on Oct 2nd but I`m still waiting my mail from Etobicoke office . I saw in the timeline that some people already got their dates for interview with DM end of Oct. Is this normal? Can I call and ask about my case to this office?

I just paid the right of permanent residence fee online today. I am waiting for the office in London, Ont to contact me re landing interview. Should I send the receipt or just keep it and take with me? Also never received the AIP or DM email so called CIC and they are resending via snail mail. Did receive OWP in mail yesterday.

Today I received letter for Landing interview from Hamilton CIC dated Oct 28, 2013. I did not expect it to come so soon, since I have not really received any email or snail mail saying that a decision has been made (only the ecas update). Finally I see some light at the end of the tunnel . My timeline is:

- Application received at the CPC (Vegreville, AB) on May 7, 2012
- AOR Received on August 31, 2012
- Medical Done on October 16, 2012 (showed on ecas on Nov 21, 2012)
- AIP - October 16, 2012 (ecas updated on October 23, 2012)
- OWP - Applied online on Aug 8, 2013 and received it on Sep 23, 2013 (Duration - 2 yrs)
- Fingerprinting request - Done on Sep 13, 2013. RCMP has completed the verification on Sep 16, 2013 and sent it to CIC.
- DM - Oct 11, 2013 (ECAS updated on Oct 15, 2013)
- Landing - Nov 8, 2013 (Hamilton)

Phew!! Done with landing today and have received the COPR and permanent SIN .

As Singhh said, you can apply for OHIP with your OWP. You won't get coverage until 3 months after OWP date.
