Thanks for all the warm wishes.

I 100% credit this forum for the fact that our application processed so quickly.

We learned what to send, when, with what documents and what to expect from CIC and what certain cryptic phrases from them actually meant.

So..they actually approved us on July 4, and as Love Young says, e-Cas updated this morning (July 6)...two days later.

The lady at the call centre said we had AIP and PR, so this is what the note on e-Cas says now.

We received your application for permanent residence on September 27, 2010.

We started processing your application on November 15, 2010.

Medical results have been received.

We received the requested information on April 21, 2011. Thank you for providing the information.

A decision has been made and you will be contacted.

We sent you a letter on July 4, 2011 to ********** about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

Also Teriskier....have they told you on the phone that you are approved, and they just haven't sent you anything in the mail yet?

Congratulations Pipi! This gives me hope that mine will arrive in about a month.

I think you got first stage approval. You can try calling them to verify.

If it helps you any,, this is what my e-cas looks like. There is no "Medical results have been received". I sent them though! So, I really don't think it matters. Plus, if you click on your application "in process", and you scroll down to "click on the following blah blah to help you understand the status of your application --- applications from within Canada", you will also see that "in process" means that medical results have been received. So I'm thinking it might just depend on whoever is updating your e-cas!!!

Cheerz!

Hi abc3896, if you sent all the docs and meet the requirement for the sponsorship there is no reason to worry about it. Give them a call!!!

I got approved for both stages on the same day so my E-cas was different. They will not refuse your application without an interview. So I don't think this is a refusal.
