My hubby got a call last Wednesday. The immigration officer congratulates my hubby for the approval of his application. Wow! Though, we are waiting for this moment, it came unexpectedly. The next day, my hubby called the IO to schedule his landing interview, and it happened today at 8:30am here in Vancouver.
The interview was so simple, just confirming that all the information is correct. Asking the same questions in the application, i.e. have you been convicted..., have you been refused entering canada..., etc. She also explained the permanent residency requirement and how to apply for citizenship. That he has already 1 year towards the requirement for citizenship. She also mentioned that PR card will be received in two months time and once received, he can apply for permanent SIN.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for the support and encouragement. For those who is still waiting, don't loose hope. Good luck!
