i got good news! we just checked our status online and we saw this:

We received your application for permanent residence on February 9, 2010.

We started processing your application on April 27, 2010.

Medical results have been received.

A decision has been made and you will be contacted.

i cant believe it... i'll believe it when we get the letters

got the reply from Health management branch regarding my fax. They said that the medical is now available to immigration within Canada. It was originally associated with a previous application.

I'm new (just signed up). I'm from California and married my husband this June after a 7-year long distance relationship, not always easy. I knew it wouldn't be easy to immigrate to Canada but here I am. I'm still in the process of filling out my app. but I'm almost done and happy about that but I know a long road ahead. I've been getting a bit frustrated at how much info they do require, the waiting times for stuff to come back to me and not being able to work and not being able to totally pay bills.
I posted a question about the immigration photos but I just remembered another one, do they send the medical checkup to you and you have to send it with your application?

I'm very glad i found this site. I don't feel so alone.

You send the receipt from your medical in with your app!!!

ur doctor sends medical results to Ottawa, and CIC immigration gets them from Ottawa.
U have to send the receipt of medicals. u might want to make a copy of receipt for urself.

hello i would like to share my situation and wonder if sum one has had the same situation as me.i arrived in Canada under the live in caregiver.but because of the times i have switched job i wasn't able to complete my years too and also because i became pregnant and have baby who is now 3 years old.i have been extending my stay until a year ago imm denied my extension.after 1 .5 years i applied for inland application with no status.i have been with my spouse for 5 years now we have 3year old girl.any chance of me getting denied in the end.do i have a chance to get a first approval owp or would my case be transferred to a local office with first stage approval.i applied for inland last week.im praying i am not a hopeless case.thank you for the interest and wish us all the best of luck

its hard to say what might happen. but they wont deny u right away. u can get an interview and have a chance then.
did u apply for restoration of status? if u didnt, they wont process ur application until u restore it. if im not mistaken.
