yes it july 5 when i got aproved for 1st stage
i got the letters too but sad to say i need to redo my medical
i talked to the agent and ask about the police clearance he said everything is fine just medical well we need to pay again 150 plus 357 for the xray and lab...
ohh they need to schedule too coz i guess there's only one DR.here
doing medical for immigrations.. thats sad ...

They asked us for additional address info during the 6 month that they were processing the application and a UK police certificate.

Same. But I didnt get a UK police report request because I guess I applied in Quebec. I imagine they're going to ask for it later on.

Thanks angtao. Well I only put the information that is usually given so maybe xiques wrote before that theirs was the 28th but was really the 23rd. Thank you for the correction, I will update it tomorrow a long with all the rest of the good news.

The field length for first and middle name is 15 characters (including spaces) anything else gets truncated. For the last name I think it is 20 characters.

In their database it has your actual whole name but they can only fit so many characters on immigration documents such as work permit, study permit, visitor visa/extensions, PR cards, etc. So yes, your name will be printed the same as any other document you have already had by them. You could try calling and talking to an agent to see if they could do something. I know your parents gave you a long name but maybe it would be a better option to just take out the second name. Just a theory though.

This is actually very common in Québec, so I suppose CIC is used to this. For example: my wife's name is Marie-France. Not very long, but it's like a 'double' first name. Besides that, she also has a second first name (or middle name, if you want), but she didn't use that name for the paperwork (it only shows on her birth certificate and our marriage certificate).

Next I have a question. Once CIC makes a decision, how long it takes to have the work permit ready to go and get a job?
and to get the PR card?

I hope that CIC continue moving and I can get my papers in a month or a month and a half.
