hello everyone im the rookie in (inland 2011)i have one question for u guys.

my time line is
app sent 4/7/2011
app received 8/7/2011
decision made 5/6/2012

is this AIP???is this good??? and i applied OWP and is sent by mail at june 15 2012.
how long is gonna take to received my open working permit so i can start to work???

thank u so much that who can answer me...im kidda lost now ???
Yes, this is AIP. Since you just requested the OWP by mail, they may take a few more days/weeks to process it. Next time, do it online, they take 7 - 10 days.

Good luck!

I keep reading about RCMP for fingerprint or police report, I thought it was the one from the immigrant origin country that was needed in the file ?
My wife is from Germany and we sent her police clearance report she had requested in Germany just before she came and we also got a certified french translation of it.
Will we need to also go to RCMP for fingerprint ?
I think it all depend... My boyfriend was asked to do his when he got AIP, he was in canada for 1 1/2 year.. And had travelled/lived in lots of countries... Might e the reason why they asked! It was fast to do it and we asked RCMP to send it to vegreville. Took 10 days and it was done.... We are still for PR thought.... Long long wait!

What i have learn from this site... Each file is different !

I wish this will cheer you guys up!

CIC received our application on August 8, 2011.
Sometime over the long weekend (happy Canada Day!) The status was changed to "decision made" for sponsorship application status, and "in progress" for permanent residence application status.

We sent our application to Vegreville, AB. CIC did request a client history update and it was sometime early in February, 2012.

Further, for those of you living in BC - once you lived here for longer than six months, apply for your health insurance immediately! We received the care card in November, 2011. My spouse arrived Vancouver in February, 2011 and we traveled for two weeks in May.

Almost forgot to mention - we used the old form without those bar codes.

Hello chufamily! that's great news, thanks for sharing. I have a question for you: what did your ecas said before it changed to decision made? my app was received on august 11 and up to now my ecas never changed.. it still just says "we received your app on august 11, 2011 - and that's it, it has NEVER been updated. thanks in advance.

Thanks for making me check
I got the ""Medical results have been received."" over the weekend :) Mine was12 months old on June 22nd..
So what's next?
My understanding is that it means they've extended our medical, so the next step is our background checks. We did ours with our initial application so their shouldn't be any delays. We hope.

Hi guys ,
Question,
Last week I got My work permit and a letter for my wife approving her as a sponsor.
In the weekend I noticed that they added 'medicals recieved' to my ecas.
Today I got another letter stating that: 'it has been determined that you meet the eligibilty requirments to apply for permanent resident status...'
Anyone knows if it means that the second stage is done or just begun?
Thank you!

I don't have an answer to your question but I found there are samples of letters in the appendix section of :) this document http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/ip/ip08-eng.pdf

Note that this document was written in 2006.

Btw, I have my medical received updated over the weekend as well.

I am guessing that the background check is in progress as we speak

Couple posts ago, I mentioned the status was updated during the long weekend. It indicated AIP with mail sent out on June 27, 2012.

WE RECEIVED THE WORK PERMIT and letter indicating I am eligible as a sponsor together TODAY!

What a surprise, time to get SIN card / number tomorrow.
