The lady who helped asked me when I arrived and I said a year ago, so she looked at my passport and that was the day she entered. I know Canadian citizen born outside Canada who just arrived and went to get...

Yes, this is AIP. Since you just requested the OWP by mail, they may take a few more days/weeks to process it. Next time, do it online, they take 7 - 10 days. Good luck!

Hi there, I don't wanna sound...idk... but I believe the info above is not totally right. Only stage 1 has been approved. You have two links: "Decision Made" and "In Process," decision made on stage 1 and in process stage 2.

If you already got your AIP, when you click "In Process," you can see when they started to process the second stage.

Hi Naz, If you want to travel before you receive your second stage approval, then yea, renew your visa. Otherwise, I wouldn't bother... According to the CIC website, pregnancy doesn't help any case. Good luck!

You can't. You now received a temporary SIN (Tax ID). Once the process is complete, you will be able to receive your permanent new SIN (starting with the number 3). Good luck!

    Inland Application 2011

My Canadian visa never expired, what expired was my status (my stay). I have a multiple entry visitor visa good until January 2013. I got here in July, 2011, they stamped my passport with no date to leave, that means I had 6 months to stay in Canada. So I should have renew my stay before January...

Yea, for your SIN, they will go by your OWP. I have the same issue. There is an extra letter in my last name on my visitor visa. I didn't notice that at the time. When they sent me the acknowledgement letter for my app for permanent residency, they had the same mistake. So, I called them and...
