I have had that experience as well where things happen faster than what the cic website states. According to website..my hubby`s application for work permit renewal wasnt even being looked at yet..and still we received it in the mail few days after i checked website.AAL1984 said:I would like to share some good news as well, something that surprised me.
I filed for my wife inland on Aug 23 2011, she was in Canada on a visit visa, set to expire in mid September.
However, I failed to include the visit visa extension application with the sponsorship application.
Anyway, I filed her visit visa extension on September 3rd online, I was really worried it would get rejected since they wouldn't be able to match it with the PR application. In the extension we indicated that my wife was married and we had filed inland, however we had no file or UCI number at that time. Plus her visa was to expire in 2 weeks.
The process time stated it would take about 76 days, and they said they would email you when they had a decision regarding your case to go check your my CIC account.
To our pleasant surprise we got her Visa extension in the mail around Nov 2nd, even though in the CIC process time listing it stated they were working on August files. We didn't get an email or anything, just her visa extension in the mail way before we had expected.
Visit Visa extension is nothing to do with PR application. Applicants extends their TRV or Visit Visa to have legal status while waiting for the PR approval process so CIC approve TRV or Visit Visa way ahead of AIP or First Stage Approval. Applicants should remember to renew TRV or Visita Visa one month before expiration. Any office would not like late renewal.AAL1984 said:I would like to share some good news as well, something that surprised me.

First time I saw that a sponsor has its own update on ecas. I thought it's only the sponsorship has its own processing update on ecas.. Do anybody have the same update on ecas... In the CIC website on Inland application , once the sponsor is found eligible to sponsor, sponsorship application will go on processing.. And the sponsor and the sponsored person will just have to ewait for AIP and final decision.Tecle said:hello mine said this
We received your application for permanent residence on July 21, 2011.
We started processing your application on November 1, 2011.
and in my husband client id in the sporsonrship application status said this
We received your application to sponsor******on July 21, 2011.
We started processing your application on September 8, 2011.
Me too Visita... I'm the sponsor from Quebec, and since October 3rd this year I have access to my ECAS as a sponsor... I already received Quebec Certificate of Selection, which is only sent when you have been approved by CIC, so technically I have AIP, a letter should arrive any minute now, someone from this forum told me by December 15 I should receive the confirmation letter...visita44 said:First time I saw that a sponsor has its own update on ecas.
