Inland Application 2011

Hello everybody,

I think after along time I found the right forum for my self, I hope you all my coming here.
My sitution is as:

Visa Office--Vegreville
10 Oct 09--Refugee claim
20 June 10---Claim accepted
01-Aug 10--Applied for PR
Unkown--Medical Exam recieved
20 Mar 11--Application accepted in principle
25 Mar 2011--rcvd requested photpcopy of passport and Polce certificate

What will happen next and how long more will it take...Please share your experience

can you please tell that aprox how long will it take?
the Call center saied about 11 Months, is it really that long?

CIC transfared my application to islamabad for my spause, she is also included in my application, Will they hold me for her backgournd verification??? or they will do it separelty, bkz I livein alberta since 2 years and she never been out of Pakistan.

I sent my application in on the 25th, and it was recieved and signed by Yvette Pesinowski on the 27th.

sesamerush, March 27 was on a Sunday. Was it Jan.27 as Feb.27 was also a Sunday.

Was it sent to Mississauga or Vegreville?

Did you file Inland Application? Where is your spouse right now - In Pakistan or Canada?

She is in Paksitan right now. I sent my application 01-Aug and they started processing 14 Nov 10. on 20 of March they sent a letter that you (myself) has been accepted in princile but do send CIc a photocopy of you passport and police certificate from Pakistan ASAP. they mentioned in the letter that the Islamabad visa office will contact my wife.

My concernce is that will it reallt take 11 months for the 2nd step? and will they hold me for her backgroudn verification?

khurshe: Your case appears to be different from these family sponsorships. Everyone here is being sponsored by their Canadian citizen or permanent resident spouse/partner from within Canada. So any advice we could provide may not be the right advice for your case. You know what I mean? And on the CIC site for those sponsored by a spouse/partner whom is already a citizen or PR, the average time it takes is 9 months to get PR interview after receiving AIP but this isn't the case for your situation.

Would I be correct in saying that your case is under "Protect Persons and Convection Refugees"? If so, here is the link for YOUR situation and wait times. Even though yours is being processed inland it is NOT addressed the same as the ones in this thread. It appears that it will take 11 months (average) to get PR after AIP for you particular situation. Oh gosh, I can't believe I forgot to mention the month! It was January and was sent to Vegreville.
Hopefully my posts will be a bit more informative going forward ;D

We are planning to submit my inland application on May 2, as my wife will be sworn in as a Canadian citizen on April 29, so we will just wait until she gets all the papers done. Are you able to work?

I am assuming that the reason why you are asking me if I am able to work is because you may think that I am the applicant? I was born and raised in Canada and I am sponsoring my husband.
