Hi

Well in our case since October 15th more than 5 agents told me they can see it in system and pretty much same number of them told us, they have not received the medicals yet. Finally, after 6 weeks they also resent our lost work permit. Hopefully it is not going to be lost again.

Just an Update
I received my Foss notes today
All their waiting on are my FingerPrints
They requested them on April 24th, received them May 3rd but didn't go back to my file until Sept 19th. So, they weren't sent to RCMP till Sept 19th.
When they requested my FP, they wanted the original Ink card , so that can take up to 120 days.

So no DM for a while but I'm happy. There was a note saying approved just waiting on Fingerprints. And they will be fine

Here's hoping for an early Christmas DM !!

And, I got a job offer yesterday. Starting in 3 weeks
So all in all a good week :) :)

Hi

Can you help us with the foss notes? How did you request it?
Can you write a quick guide?
Thanks

Hi everyone,

Good news again, I have received an owp yesterday along with a letter dating that my case is approved in pincipal and final decision will be made after security, background and medical checks. I am so happy finally after one and half years I can work and support my family. I am going this morning to get my SIN and apply for care card and MSP.

Hope the rest process does not take that long but they gave me owp for one year.

Hi Naz,

CONGRATSSSSS!!!
May I ask you when CIC required further info of your relationship and when you sent it to Vegreville?

I am in your same situation and can't wait to get my AIP!! I want to work so badly :)

The forms are here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/atip/index.asp

You are making a "privacy act" request (because you are inside Canada) and thus there is no charge. You want "electronic notes" which means they will come from whatever the current computer system is (my understanding is that the goal has been to replace FOSS and CAIPS - the two old systems - with GCMS, but you shouldn't care.)

Hi Anticipation,

Stupid question - how did you find out when Ottawa received your updated meds? I done my medical on Sept 21st and called CIC last week but they couldn;t see anything on my file as received, no update on Ecas as of today either! Starting to really worry!

Thanks for any input!

CanED

Dear CanEd, When my doctor sent me the receipt for the medical exam she also sent me the tracking information for the medical records she sent to Ottawa, so I was able to track it through Canada Post. Did you possibly get that information from your doctor too?
Hope this helped.

Thanks Anticipation - no I didn't get a tracking number - I got a confirmation and sent photocopies of the receipts on the day. I will try calling the dr's office as well as CIC. Thanks for your help - hope you don't have too much longer to wait.

All the best,

CanED

I also went this morning to obtain my SIN no and it took like 5min.

Hope you get your AIP really soon.

Hi Gjfst

Sorry for the late reply.
Computergeek gave you the page to go to.

All I do is fill in the form online and then print it off. I sign it and scan in back to the computer and then email it to CIC as a pdf.
CIC will send you a confirmation email.

I have got notes twice and each time I got them in 20 days

Hope this helps
