Hello Kitchener,

The same here, I also got he DM letter on 25 Sep. but I still haven't received the Landing Interview letter yet. When I went to the local office last week, it was empty as well.

Hi Mingming

are you in Kitchener too? it has been two weeks already since 2nd stage DM and still no landing interview yet! :(
I just don't know what they do in that empty office lol

Hi Guys

So I got my open work permit in the mail today. Valid for 2 years.
When I log into My Ecas it says IN Process and under the PR, says that a decision has been made and I will be contacted.
But I just called CIC now and they said it's just stage 1
I asked why it says DM under PR and she said it's 1st stage
Is she right?
I thought from reading earlier posts that once your Ecas shows:- Medical Results Received and a Decision has been made that I had stage 2

Thanks in advance

DM under PR usually means stage 2...
Either your ECAS is wrong or (most likely) the agent was clueless...

Hi Laphouis,

no she is NOT right! congratulation you got the second stage!!! thats exactly what happened to me, I called after my PR section said "DM" and the response from the call center was no its just stage one and the second stage might take months! and I also insisted it says "DM" under the PR section but they said it doesn't matter.
take it from me you got the second stage. you will be getting a letter confirming it in a day or two!

congrats again! :P ;D happy for you!

Wow, that's just awful. So they say "sorry, we can't get to your application for 18 months?"

Did you order case notes to find out why your application was sent to the Calgary office? If not, I'd certainly do that, because something sounds rather peculiar anyway. You can always contact your MPs office as well. My only other suggestion would be to talk to an attorney about seeking Mandamus, but that's definitely going to cost money and it sounds like that may not be a viable option right now.

Once you get your notes, you may find there is something you can address, in which case you might be better off withdrawing the application and re-filing it, rather than waiting for Calgary to get around to you in March 2014. Since they haven't started processing the applicant (presumably), you'd at least get the $475 back for the application fee (the $75 sponsor fee won't come back because they've started processing that bit).

I must admit, if I were in your shoes, Europe would be looking pretty appealing right about now.

how to order case notes? and what are they? thx...i just follow from e cas thats it

So just wondering..............
There's not much point in me going to get a temporary SIN now seeing as I will be landing soon ( fingers crossed ) and I will be getting a New SIN
Seems a waste of $150 for OWP but I don't care, PR is worth it :) :)

You want the electronic notes not a copy of the physical file. It takes 30 days to get them and since you're inside Canada asking for information about yourself there is no fee.

amazing how quick you got the second stage after the AIP ;)
mine took almost two and half months but because it took me long to get a copy of my travel document.

It's been a long wait since July 2011
So I'm happy to be done.
My delay was they requested additional proof of our relationship.

ya exactly I wouldn't bother, you will be landing soon anyway. I didn't even apply for extension of open work permit yet which it expires on Nov, 25th I don't think I need to since i'm waiting for a date on my landing.

That's what I'm thinking. I have an expired SIN from my old work permit but I don't think I will bother
It will be nice to have a SIN without a 9 in front :) :)
Hope you get your landing date soon.
I'm hoping mine won't take too long either. Halifax doesn't seem busy. That could be a good or bad thing. They might wait for a bunch of us together :) :)
