There is no checklist and just a form. Do we need checklist for Toronto applications?

The document under checklist has changed. It no longer says you need to submit a checklist with your application.

Depends on where you applying. Toronto is fastest. Ottawa and Vancouver slowest.

They will leave a slip which will mention the place from where you can collect it for the next 5 business days. If you don't it will go back to BLS.

I have applied and its almost the same date.

My postal application was picked on Sep 9 and delivered to bls on Sep 11.
Portal updated on Sep 16 as application date.

Current status in Passport site is "surrender certificate is under review at indian embassy/consulate" from yesterday Sep 23.

Toronto Postal Application for my wife.

Application date in BLS tracker : Sep 16, 2024. However, we shipped it on Sep 6.

Any idea by when we will receive the SC at home via courier? (we opted for courier)

Need to know so that I can book an appointment for OCI accordingly.

Pick up time like @forw.jane mentioned. Be there earlier than the opening time in order to avoid the rush/queue (first come first served basis)
You have to carry the payment receipt and a ID (e.g. driver's license, Canadian passport etc)

Hi fellow members,

What is the average time take from submission of surrender certificate to getting it home via courier? I have a 20 day vacation planned and I may not be at home to collect the courier. So need to reverse plan the application. Any help is highly appreciated!!

While filling up the postal code in the surrender certificate, do i keep the space -A1B 2C3 or without space- A1B2C3? I heard ppl are getting rejected either way? This is for BLS Mississauga?
