I don't know if they mean that they have received my documents.

No problem. I am glad to hear that you received an update regarding your status from BLS. Looks like they received your application but haven't updated the status yet. The best you can do for now is wait for the status to be updated in about a week or so and then follow up with BLS if necessary. Patience here is a key :)

I got my passport renewed through Indian Consulate. I've warning stamp in my first page in which it says "If Holder change their nationality, he should surrender this passport immediately"

Did anyone receive similar kind of message/stamp?

April 23rd: Applied for the passport renewal in person at the BLS center and the status on the BLS website was "Application Received".
April 26th: "Dispatched from BLS center to High Commission" status on BLS website.
April 27th: "Processing at high commission" status on BLS website and on the embassy website, the status was updated to "Passport application along with fee details have been received. The same is under processing at embassy/consulate".
May 3rd: File number starting with CAT was generated and the status on the embassy website was updated to "Print has been initiated for Passport"
May 4th: Status was updated to "Passport is printed and will be delivered shortly"
May 5th: Status was updated to "Your passport has been printed and being forwarded to Embassy/Consulate. The Embassy/Consulate will contact you once they receive the passport for dispatch."

Since May 5th, I haven't received any other update neither on the BLS website nor on the embassy website. My police verification hasn't done yet but looks like a new passport has been printed already. I was wondering if it's a usual scenario and whether anyone went through such kind of situation during his/her passport renewal process.

I am currently in the middle of the PR application process and waiting for my new passport to upload along with other documents in order to submit my application on the CIC website. Any suggestions/comments would be strongly appreciated.

The status was updated to "Dispatched via courier for delivery" on the BLS website on May 20 and they provided the Purolator tracking number. My passport was finally delivered on May 21st around 4.00 PM.

It took 28 days in total to process my application as I applied for the passport renewal on April 23rd and received the new passport on May 21st.

Good luck to everyone with the passport renewal process!!

I applied for passport renewal and from the last two weeks embassy website is showing the status “ Passport has been printed and dispatched.” But on bls site the status is “Processing at High Commission”.
Anybody else in the same boat? Two weeks seem like an awfully long time for bls to receive my new passport and dispatch it.

I had the same case as well. It took over 2 weeks to receive the passport after the status on embassy website was updated to "passport has been printed and forwarded to embassy/consulate. The embassy/consulate will contact you once they receive passport for dispatch". Patience is a key here to be honest as there is not much we can do. You can check with BLS if you have been waiting for longer time than what is mentioned on their website. Hope you will receive your new passport soon.

Same here. My work permit is expiring in December 2021 so will apply in couple of months from now. Seems like will need to apply for BOWP so that I can continue working while waiting for the decision.

Thank you! I totally didnt see the post there, my bad!
Interesting point is that there was no police verification done, its the same case with me too. In myncase, passport was printed within the first week of sending the application to bls.

That's fine. I just wanted to direct in order to reduce your manual work :)
Same in my case. Have you applied for PCC recently? I presume it might be the case (just making a guess).
