It all depends on what address you want on your passport. If you want the scarborough address, you can give that in the application and for mailing you can give your barrie address.

If you are just going to stay there for a month, why not use Scarborough address for both. The application will take a minimum of 6-8 weeks. And yes, you can apply at BLS Toronto.

Sorry for the confusion. What I meant is that by the time of my appointment on September 16, I will have only lived in Barrie for a month. I was concerned this might cause a problem because I recently moved to Barrie.

No, it's not compulsory. You can renew it 2-3 month before as well. I just applied for renewal before 1 week of my passport expiry date as I didn't have any upcoming travel plans. So, if you are not in rush and sure about your travel plan...you can renew it anytime before expiry.

No, it's not compulsory. You can renew it 2-3 month before as well. I just applied for renewal before 1 week of my passport expiry date as I didn't have any upcoming travel plans. So, if you are not in rush and sure about your travel plan...you can renew it anytime before expiry.

- Do we need to visit Toronto or this could be done at BLS-BRAMPTON
- After filing the forms online, printing and providing all the necessary information, whether we need to visit BLS office or this could be submitted by Post/Mail as well ?
- Are there any other BLS office, except Brampton.
- Does anyone knows, how much is the total fee for this process.

If you are PR then it’s suggestion to print Canadian address and if you are TR then Indian.
-Yes you can go to bls Brampton instead of Toronto
-you can go to BLS or provide by mail( usually they do with purolator, you can call them for shipping related information)

Appreciate your response and time, Mr. Singh. I have texted you as well but posting here. Now my only confusion is whether to mention Canadian or Indian address on Indian Passport. To get Canadian address, I have to provide Canadian address proof, that I don't have for parents. I only have banking information, but not sure if that could be used as address proof.
- Whether Parents need to accompany me, while submitting the documents to BLS, in person?
- I believe there is still huge line-ups at BLS.

Hello, My question is that can we do anything to expedite the Passport renewal process? Asking this because - recently (March 2024) I got my PCC done from BLS - and contacts at the local police commissioner level did help to process my file faster.
Does Passport renewal request also go to the local police station? Even if I had my PCC done 6 months ago?
