I have an Indian marriage certificate issued by Hindu Marriage Registrar UP and the same was uploaded as part of the PR application. I received a request from CIC to upload replacement document with below in the notice:
Marriage Certificate: Marriage/certificate(s) including date the marriage was solemnized
When I looked at the marriage certificate carefully I realized that there is a mistake and the registrar has put the registration date (11/26) as the marriage date (actual marriage date is 11/24)
I have 7 days to respond and I am already in Canada. I also do not have the Marriage Invitation card readily available to establish the marriage date either. My passport and my spouse's passport have each other's name as a spouse.
Can someone guide what are my options and how should I respond? Also, could this cause the PR application get rejected?
