Looks like @abbas.pasha is using the answer of this question for the previous onethey have asked other place the question about India visit :
Have you ever visited India before ? YES / No . which i understand , the answer should be NO .
Yes you are correct . Even i have asked same question on helpdesk. their answer is same as yours. they replied and said this is question is : "Have you lived in your country of which the passport you are holding" . i dont know why they ask this question .Looks like @abbas.pasha is using the answer of this question for the previous one
Have you lived for at least two years in the country where you are applying visa? Yes No -> This question is about Canada, so Yes
Have you ever visited India before ? YES / No -> This is with your Canadian passport, so No
Likely this question is from the fact that e.g. if you are a Canadian citizen living and applying for eVisa from the USYes you are correct . Even i have asked same question on helpdesk. their answer is same as yours. they replied and said this is question is : "Have you lived in your country of which the passport you are holding" . i dont know why they ask this question .
but anyway I got the answer ! thanks everyone.
You dont need SC for eVisa.@abbas.pasha @forw.jane
I have to travel to India urgently My father is in ICU just received my Canadian passport and applying for e-visa but I am not sure If I need Surrender certificate first.
Timeline to get surrender certificate is few weeks. I called BLS they gave me different answers.
can you advise if I can apply for e-visa without surrender certificate?
Thank you for your response in advance!
Thank you for replying! Can you also advise what option will be faster: e-visa for 30 days or 1 year ?You dont need SC for eVisa.
Apply for eVisa online through this website https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/evisa/tvoa.html.
You do not need to deal with BLS for eVisa.
Only in the case of Entry Visa (x) you will need to go through BLS
I don't think the duration defines the speed with which the e-visa is processed. In most cases you get it within 12 hrs. Better go with 1 yr one but you can live maximum of 180 days in India.Thank you for replying! Can you also advise what option will be faster: e-visa for 30 days or 1 year ?
and if 30 days is faster and can I apply for extension from India?
Yeah agree with what @forw.jane mentioned belowThank you for replying! Can you also advise what option will be faster: e-visa for 30 days or 1 year ?
and if 30 days is faster and can I apply for extension from India?
