Everyone is saying there is not income requirement to sponsor, but where in the Canadian website does it say that?
I only see that it says min inncome is required.

markgina said:the reason that so many people are asking this question about min. amount is because the min necessary income insturctions says if you dont meet the amout for your sponsored the low income cut off table is the amount of income you must have to sponor your relatives 2 people is 29,440 date is july 2014 the last 12 month preceding the mailing of your application and it seems (the way they word things)if you dont have enough you need a co signer.... I cant find it right now but, I read , if you dont meet the amount you will be rejected ....so it is very stressful..... both my husband and I both if I co sign dont meet that amount ....(becaise he is on disability)(and I dont make much and my hours very at times) I think we have found that we are ok that there is no amount for spouses but ...we have been 2 weeks or more tring to find out the answers how to do this........just to voice why so many people are asking this question............... We seem to think the answer found is that there is no amount my husband income is way below ..... and with mine we would 5thousand short ....but it seems I dont even need to sign as a co signer with him .... ??????if theres no amount for spouces????? am I right .....
* prove that you have sufficient income to provide basic requirements for your spouse or common-law partner’s dependent children. To do this, you must provide documents showing your financial resources for the past 12 months. This requirement applies only when dependent children who have dependent children of their own are included on the application.

I want to bring my wife ( dependent). We have 2 children. Elder one is studying in university who is not planning to immigrate now. The younger child is doing +1 there , and prefer to study in Canada. I need some information :
What is the procedure to bring my family ?
Shall they apply there in India or shall I apply in Canada?
Which one is better and faster?
How long will it take?
Can I apply by myself or through lawyer?
Shall they require proof of fund , if so-- how much dollars?
Leon said:You can not co-sign for your own sponsorship. The only case where you may be able to co-sign is if your husband is sponsoring another relative.
There is no specific income requirement to sponsor a spouse.
In the sponsorship guide for outland applications, see 3900 , you can find this as one of the requirements to sponsor:
The bolded means that specific income is only required if the sponsored spouse is bringing a dependent child who also has a child and this child is included on the application. If you do not have a child that has a child or you do but your child and grandchild are not on the application as dependents, then the income requirement does not apply to you.

I became a Canadian but decided to move back to my country. So, I don't live at Canada anymore.
