Hey fellow "waiters", have been reading forum for a while and notice one difference with my ecas - I have 4 lines showing under "in process":
1.We received your application for permanent residence on May 21, 2015. ( since aor1)
2.We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on August 6, 2015. (Since august 8th)
3.We started processing your application on July 28, 2015. ( since today, and July 28th is a date of SA)
4.Medical results have been received. (Since aor 1)

Ecas went to in process on 8th of august
I haven't been ask to provide any additional documentation, but we had paid all fees right from the beginning and mention an intend to move to canada in application right after we receive the pr, we even mention my plan to come to canada for summer on trv.
Oh the vo is in Warsaw, I was hoping it would send to Beijing or Hong Kong ( have been living in china for last 6 years, but Russia is my country of origin) but it was before cic change processing time, so I guess we have been lucky after all :)
So does anybody else have 4 lines?! Wonder if it a good sign or peopke just didn't mention having aor2 in their ecas
Cheers!

Like i has stated on the other threads, have any of the new "IP" applicants so for applicants which applied in May and June 2015 have been requested to provide proof of intent to reside in Canada or pay the RPRF fee, if so please respond, otherwise I am in the belief if the applicants who have been requested the intent to reside in Canada their applications are actually "in process" with criminality and security checks upcoming before DM. From my understanding the applicants who are from early 2015 and even late 2014 who have been shown "IP" on August 6th 2014, they have mostly been requested to prove their intent to reside in Canada and the RPRF payment. I have not seen any applicants who got SA in May 2015/June 2015 who status showed "IP" on August 6th and beyond stating that they were requested these two documents by the VO. I could be wrong but if i am please advise. I am under the assumption if the VO has requested these documents the process is close, just waiting on the criminal and security checks.

I did not receive a request to submit a police clearance, but I sent in my "real" FBI one to replace my old channeler FBI report late last week, and my ECAS now shows a third line since late last night (along with everyone else).

My dates are very strange though (in order):
App Filed: May 12, 2015
IP: August 6, 2015
SA: August 12, 2015 (still shows IP)
IP update: August 26, 2015 (We started processing your application on July 14, 2015.)

Maybe adding my police report to my file triggered someone to add the third line in ECAS?

I have the same 3 lines as you.. But i do not have medical received line though medical already done and sent in April.

I am a May applicant too and my lines are as follows:

1.We received your application for permanent residence on May 25, 2015. ( same date as aor1)
2.We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on August 18, 2015.
3.We started processing your application on July 30, 2015. ( same as date of SA)

However i have not received any email yet.. Also my status changed to IP this week and last week i checked it was application received.

I am confused and worried that i do not have the medical received line :(

Zaara0804, did u do e-medical? Mine was e-medical so I guess it was uploaded into system right away

Haven't seen this status update mentioned too many times...but glad to see they are including it as well. They should be including every single step of their process.

C.

e-medical is electronic results, did you receive a sheet with a bar code on it?

I thought for a bit that my case was a strange exception because my eCAS went "In Process" almost immediately after Ottawa received it, and then they requested my CSQ, so it sat for 3 months while we waited for Quebec to get their act together. Now it seems like I'm not alone. :P

I can only conclude based on everyone's timelines that they're now updating ECAS to In Process whenever the VO receives it (sort of as an AOR2). Mine only recently changed to IP but the "we started processing your app on xx/xx/xxxx" is right around my SA/file transfer time, so they probably are just going back and doing everybody's. It does not seem to give an indication anymore that you are near the end. :(

My sponsorship category just says Application received still and I am a March 2015 applicant, I have not gone in process yet on my ecas. Meds and everything all done up front too.

Ditto. I'm a March applicant as well, and my SA was delayed to around the same time that most of the May applicants were receiving SA.

I think the difference is whether it spans the time from when they receive your application to when a decision is made...or when the application is actively being worked on....

After 16 months went "In Process" and so far means nothing...and no we have not rec'd DM within 2-4 weeks...and we are US to Canada...

Congrats dole1990! Hopefully you will get the passport back with the visa! :)

That is interesting.

So this begs the question: are those applications which recently went into "In Process", being currently looked at by an immigration officer? Are the files being actively processed or are they put off in a pile where they will remain for many weeks/months? Looking at dole1990's post, it seems that atleast in the Nairobi VO, some work is being done. I wonder if it is the same for the other VOs.

The only way to know, I guess, is by ordering the CAIPS notes? When then would be an ideal time to be ordering these notes? 1 month after SA? 2? 3? Anyone whose ECAS shows "In Process" recently planning on ordering the notes?

Cheers
