Update: On August 12 I took a screen capture on ecas of my partner's application and it said 'Application received'.

I emailed the London VO to let them know of our change of address; I got a reply saying they'd received the enquiry.

Today, August 15, I checked again and now it says application 'in process'

I thought they only updated ecas on a Tuesday?? Maybe they are going through the applications faster - fingers crossed for all!

Jonesy

ECAS can update any day Tuesday through Saturday - from what I can tell it's based on the work from the day before. I've personally never received any updates on Tuesdays...they've come on other days.

Oh really...first time m hearing that its taking so long after "in process" can u please share wen u actually applied? After how long ur ecas showed in process?

Application deemed received by CiC on 14 Oct 2014. SA 13 Nov. AOR 2 20 Nov 2014.

In process since 03 March 2015.

European and Ottawa goes into process just before decision made from what I've seen. I am from an African VO and the process seems different from them.

I thought when people did that they were giving the date that their ecas changed from "application received" to "in process".

I have an IP date as well, but that line only showed up after I got DM. As, my ecas never said "In Process". I went straight from "application received" to "decision made".

I assumed most people were going by the "in processing" date on ecas, but I could be wrong, a lot of people here like checking every day. That would have driven me crazy! It seems weird to me they would only update the "in process" date after DM, what would be the purpose of that.

Do any of you who don't have DM yet have dates for AOR?

I know it might sound odd but it's definitely what I've noticed. But I could be wrong of course. I've been in two immigration groups on facebook and I follow these forums and there are tons of people who check ecas every single day. I was one of those for a couple months. Probably the last 4 months til I got DM, I was constantly checking.
Yeah, it seems weird but I really haven't seen anyone have that line show up before they got DM on ecas. I will specify Ottawa since that's what I follow mostly.

My ECAS turned to "In Process". This is shortly after having received the AOR2 from the Singapore Visa Office. I doubt that this "In Process" means much, since normally it takes close to a year for the entire process to be completed if everything is in order (based on what I've read here at the SVO). Perhaps, this recent updating of the status on ECAS to "In Process" is just something that is now being done after SA?

In process actually means they are working on ur file so be positive

I hope this gives people hope - we are Nov 2014 applicants and our status went to "In Process" with the big group on August 6th. Today we got a call from our Lawyer saying they received the request for our RPRF and some additional documents proving that I (the sponsor) live and work in Canada. Since they are asking for the fee we hope this means that once we send what they want a DM will come shortly after. This is the first we have heard from CIC since SA so it was very exciting for us. Fingers crossed for everyone!

Yea Ottawa actually replied to my emails about the RPRF, Medicals and Sponsor proof of residence in Canada. Lol.

What did they say? I never got a response from them when I replied to that email.

Confirmed that it was sufficient evidence that my partner resides in Canada. Told me my RPRF payment has been reallocated to the correct application and my medicals are up to date.

For those wanting to know time lines from In Process to Decision Made, my application went in process on July 30th and Decision Made was August 23.

Yeah I'm increasingly convinced it's not as straightforward as it used to be and is possibly something to do with the the on-going updates to the entire ECAS platform, or a glitch in the system.

No offence to them, but there's people apparently seeing "In Process" on their PR application literally the next day after getting sponsor approval. Sadly I can't possibly see how that can mean a decision on their application is imminent in the same way it traditionally has.

None taken...I'm one of those and it was pretty obvious that this meant nothing. :)

Should I be worried that I never got a response?

Nope, I think it's weirder that jamsham12 actually got one. He/she must know the magic word. Did you send a case-specific inquiry?

Its just odd that thousands of people got In Progress all of a sudden. I have to wonder why? And whats going to happen now? Nobody else feeling that on one day thousands of people got IP? MY VO would never even update eCas and now not only are they updating but so are almost all VO's? Definitely odd.
