Hi all, I wanted to hear people's experiences with applying for a non-urgent passport through Service Canada. Do they have crazy line ups there as well especially in the GTA. I have an appointment for Collingwood but wanted to try to see if I could try my luck closer to home. Thanks in advance for nay assistance that can be provided.

Best bet is to reach early to queue up (before 6am). My advice would be to book an airbnb within the next 4-25 business days that is fully refundable, use that as travel proof at passport office (not service canada), queue up at 6am. It should take you 4-5 hours and you'll get your passport in 2 weeks.

Otherwise, timeline is between 45-70 days after you submit to service canada.

I submitted to a Service Canada last week - I’ll update on how long things take here.

Any luck yet? I applied on 2nd May at Service Canada in person and I have still not received it.

I applied for my Canadian Passport on 30th June, 2022 on a Non-Urgent Basis i.e. travel date is more than 45 days and have no response. The location I applied to said they will mail out on 29-July-2022 on the receipt they gave me and no news yet.

From the above conversation I am reading about sending on 2nd May, 2022 has not received yet means I am far too long in the queue. Now I guess I should have applied for the earlier one.
