Thanks OhCanadiana,
You really are very helpful.

Two more queries from me:

1. I have 'Reference Letters' of over 2 years, but there are gaps in between (I couldn't get 'Reference Letters' for these gaps).
So it is like:
Two Reference Letters for (11 months) + (11 months) in continuation (no gap)
Then there is a gap before the 3rd Reference Letter (which is also of 11 months only)

Apart from the above, the total experience in the desired NOC is over 5 years (but not supported by Reference Letters). I have proofs that I have worked there (Appointment & Resignations letters, pay-slips etc), and as asked, I have myself explained my duties & responsibilities in a very clear way.

Please advise my Total Points on 'Experience'.

2. Do I have to send photocopies of ALL the pages of ALL our passports?
(Since I have never travelled out of the country so it is all blank pages in there!!)

Thanks a lot
Regards

1) As long as you were fulfilling the relevant duties, they should accept the time. Question is whether it was full time or not. If you were working part time, it only counts as the relevant prorated time (e.g, if you were working 50% of the time vs. full time, it counts as half a month)
2) Technically, yes, but I wouldn't rely on busy people to necessarily notic. However, since you need to be eligible upfront this shouldn't matter.
Thanks a lot :)[flash=200,200][/flash]

Hello,

I need to know about documents to be noterized,

I have found few misleading instruction in country specific (new delhi, India) forms in which on the top para they have mentioned that all the documents (copy) should be notarized "
Do not send originals unless otherwise stated. Send notarized photocopies of all documents except the police certificates, which must be originals."
where as in detail sections they have specifically asked to send notarized copy of the documents like

Professional qualifications certificates: notarized professional qualifications certificates should be submitted if available. (e.g., Engineer, Computer Programmer, Accountant, Economist, Translator/Interpreter, Architect etc.)
notarized employment contracts from your present and past employers, accompanied by an English or French translation

Can anyone specify list of documents with Notarized /True copy/self attested or only photocoy would be appreciated.?

Thank in advance

1) Your points for experience depend on the number of years of full-time-equivalent work experience you have had in the last 10 years in occupations that fall in Skill Type 0 or Skill Levels A or B of the NOC. You can find details at http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/guides/EG72.asp.

In terms of reference letters, try to get them for all your relevant jobs. If you can't for some reason (e.g., the company no longer exists) then use whatever else you have to try to prove your experience, write an explanation letter, and hope for the best.

2) What you have to submit depends on the visa office specific instructions - please check the instructions for your visa office at http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/skilled-mission.asp

If it were me, I would follow the top instructions that you mention says that all photocopies need to be notarized unless the detailed instructions explicitly say otherwise. From the general instructions, you know that all documents that are translated must be notarized AND you know that the CIO is now going to check your application for eligibility before forwarding it to the visa office - do you really want to risk having your application sent back because you didn't notarize a couple documents, and risk not making it within the 1000/20,000 cap this year?

Thanks for you suggestions & Wishes,

I would like to know more on notarized documents, There can be two things for notarized

1. They verify documents and Sign on it without their Official Seal and used another seal for true copy.
2. They used standard seal and also register noterized information in their register too,

which one we should go for, Kindly help me to clear my doubts

Thanks

Per the instructions for FSW from cic.gc.ca

"Certified copies or notarized documents

To have a photocopy of a document certified, an authorized person must compare the original document to the photocopy and must print the following on the photocopy:

* “I certify that this is a true copy of the original document”
* the name of the original document
* the date of the certification
* his or her name
* his or her official position or title
* his or her signature

Who can certify copies?

People authorized to certify copies include the following:

In Canada:

* a commissioner of oaths
* a notary public
* a justice of the peace

Outside Canada:

* a judge
* a magistrate
* a notary public
* an officer of a court of justice
* a commissioner authorized to administer oaths in the country in which the person is living"

What does your visa office ask for in terms of passport photocopy?

For example, I just looked at one that says:

"TRAVEL DOCUMENTS AND PASSPORTS
•Passports or travel documents for you, your spouse or common-law partner and your dependent children. Include only copies of pages showing:
•the passport number,
•date of issue and expiry,
•your photo, name, date and place of birth."
[bolding mine]

What does yours say?

Given that the CIO is still processing both types of applications, I would use both. The visa office checklist usually includes everything that the CIO application includes (except the credit card fee payment form) so just put both of the checklists upfront (CIO checklist, visa office checklist, then all the documents) and make sure you include everything from both checklists. A bit extra work, but your goal should be to make it easy for the visa officer to review and avoid confusion so your application can be processed as smoothly and quickly as possible.

Good luck!
Hi OhCanadiana, can't help but ask about this.

The one you mentioned "CIO checklist, visa office checklist, then all the documents", is it possible to arrange it in this order?
- CIO Checklist
- Forms needed in the CIO checklist
- VO specific checklist
- Document needed by VO that are not found in the CIO Checklist

Will this do?

You could, but then you'd have to explain that the first set of documents on the VO checklist were before the checklist in the application package. Solveable with an explanation letter, but an extra step.

Make sense?

It's notarized. except for IELTS and PCC, which should be originals.

Hmmm, it does make sense. I was kinda confused. Following CIO document checklist, the VO document and checklist is at #12, which is after the IMM forms. The way I understand it, the VO checklist comes after the forms for CIO.

Though, there is statement in #12 that says "This document checklist (use it as the cover page)". Is it pertaining to the CIO document checklist, or the VO specific? Confusing..
