Impact of TRV on Spousal PR

I am planning on applying for TRV to visit my husband. My file has been transferred to the VO but the wait and uncertainty is too much to take. I understand the TRV could be denied but I want to take my chances.
Seniors, please advise. Is there any risk involved? Would applying for TRV adversely affect my PR application?
I know the two are independent, but one person on this forum believed applying for TRV caused issues in his spousal PR application.
