IMM5669 - Q.8 Personal history

Hi friends,

I am being asked to complete the IMM5669 form again and to the personal history and addresses from the age of 18 (not only the past 10 years). I have a few questions hoping to see if anyone has these similar issues:-

1. For the "Activity" column in Personal History, it requires to write occupation or job title. So is it that I should write in this way - "Employment - Accountant" / "Education - Full time student"? After graduating from school, I spent a month on summer vacation and looking for a job, so how should I write this activity?

2. During a full-time employment period, do I have to list out ALL the vacation travelling records? I studied in the US back then and would travel to Canada during term breaks and just on a long weekend, I am over 50 years old and so I have to recall back more than 30 years of my personal history, and all my travelling period ranged from a few days to at most one month, do I need to write them all out in Personal history? And if I need to write out, do I make it as a separate "travelling sheet" or list in the same form noting the travelling in between the same full-time job which seems even more confusing in terms of the timeline presentation).

Thank you everyone for your help.

Yes, you basically write your working / education history.

Travel history is separate - if you're employed full time and you take a one month vacation while still employed, that doesn't go in the personal history (it may go in travel history if required).

So eg if you're employed for 30 years, you just put that. If work paid for you to do some course for two weeks - you were still employed.

Please don't ask for how long is the difference, decide for yourself, jsut common sense. If you were part-time doing two different things - pick one of them as the main thing, the other as secondary.

Same thing with ending school and looking for work for less than a month - just decide. A lot of schools have a month between finishing and formally graduating, don't think IRCC cares in that much detail. (That form is in months, not days, not hours)

If in doubt on anything - you can add a letter of explanation if you think necessary.

Good Morning MsBeat,

Can you please confirm if you gave details of your travels outside the country while you were still employed in Personal History section of Imm 5669? I am in a similar situation. I have been employed with the same company for the past 12 years but have travelled frequently between India and US/Canada so wanted to know if I need to mention my travels in Personal history section
Also in case you know how do we put the masters done simultaniously with work , do you think we just add it in a letter of explanation?

Hi, I did put the travel history in a letter of explanatory. I tried to retrieve as much information as possible from my passport, tracing back all those chops at the immigration counter and listed them out. I put it in an excel file showing labelling which are work or leisure trips.

No further questions were asked after my submission, so I bet as soon as you are able to fill in ALL the gaps, be it work or leisure, that would be fine.

Good luck!

Thanks so you did not put travel history in Personal History but put it in Letter of Explanation correct? I plan to do the same

@NivedhithaCibi , @MsBeat , @armoured ,

Hope you all become PR's by now. I'm in similar situation.

How long did it take to get Security stage passed after ADR IMM5669 acknowledged or changed to NA under MyCIC account?

Your response is highly appreciated. Thank you!!!

Hey , I had similar timeline and i can say that in 3 weeks or so you will be getting your CoPR or PPR

Thanks
Thanks for the response.

I submitted ADR IMM5669 on 6 Feb and within 1hr changed to NA. Security initiated right away. I got CBSA notes couple days back which shows security screening by CBSA in progress since 6 Feb. Did you remember if you had gone thru same steps?

Was worried if it takes year or two looking at some horror stories in the forum.

Hey it took 3 weeks for me after submitting the docs to get PPR .my status changed to na on the same day . I was too busy to track other minute changes .
depends- I heard someone say If it goes to secondary screening it takes time but only for a few people it goes to that step . And it’s completely random
I don’t think anything is in your hands now and statistically you should hear in a couple of weeks at max

Thanks helps alot. I was worried it would take months and years for those with ADR Schedule A stuck in security although simple/plain profile with no adverse info.

Hi there,
I have one question. I am filling IMM 5669 form personal history section. From 2020/01 to 2020/04 I studied in a program for one term in a school then I switched school and the session started from 2020/09. How do I mention the time between 2020/05-2020/08 in activity can I say Switching School and status as an international student?
