IMM 5669 and Sponsorship agreement form Questinon!!! PLZ HELP

So I am sponsoring my husband, so he is the “Principle Applicant”? right?? For IMM 5669E? Background/ Declaration Where it asks are you the a) Principle Applicant or b) Spouse of Principle Applicant WHICH ONE DOES HE CHOOSE? Because a friend of mine checked off Spouse instead of principle applicant…I am confused,,,,



Also,
In the section about the Sponsorship Agreement form, Where it asks in the top To either withdraw if sponsor found ineligible or continue…Which one should I say?? The way I think about it, if I am not eligible to sponsor why should they carry on with the PR processing?

for IMM 5669: your hushand should fill out this form (as he is the Principal Applicant) - then choose --> (a)
(you - sponsor; husband - sponsored person, principal applicant)

the 2nd question: it is up to you.....if you want to cancel (if not eligible), they will refund you $$$; otherwise they processed and keep $$, and refused.

Oh and for the section on Agreement form, where it asks in Question 8 "Status in Canada" I put Canadian Citizen, but my friend is also a citizen as well but she checked off the " permanent resident/ naturalized Citizen section and wrote her birthday and said in the UCI section " Canadian Born" Thats obviously wrong right>?!?! and to top all that off a so called " immigration consultant helped her fill it out?!?!

Also, Should everything be typed in Capital letters??

Also, do read the guides!!! The <a href="http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/guides/3900E.pdf">Guide to Sponsorship</a> (IMM 3900E pdf) has lots of information that will help you make sense of some of the choices and questions. For Question 1 in the Undertaking, the Guide says this on page 11: "If you do not qualify as a sponsor and have not notified CPC-M of your intent to withdraw, the application of the person you are sponsoring will be processed. The visa office will likely refuse the application for permanent residence and inform you in writing of your right to appeal."

So basically, you have a right to appeal a sponsorship refusal if you check "proceed with the application". Whether keeping appeal rights is something you want to do, that´s another story. Personally, I selected to withdraw if found ineligible, that way I don´t lose my money and can re-apply at a later date.

Don't use Capitals!

If you are the Sponsor and you are a Canadian Citizen through Naturalization, then you must indicate "Canadian Citizen", because you are NO longer a Permanent Resident!!! If, on the other hand, you were born in Canada, then you became a Canadian Citizen at the time you were born, so enter your birth date in Question 9 (a).

If you immigrated to Canada as a PR, then you probably have a Client ID, enter in 9 (b) also. If you dont remember the Client ID, type "Not Available". Make sure you type the name you used when granted PR in 9 (c) if you are/were a Permanent Resident.

Don't be (confused). What I meant is, there are two ways to become a Canadian citizen: 1) by Naturalization, that means, you immigrate to Canada from a different place, then apply to become a Canadian after living in canada for 3 years or more; 2) By birth, which is the way you became citizen yourself according to what you said.

In that case, since you were born in Canada you are a Canadian citizen automatically. So for question 8, you pick "Canadian Citizen", and for Question 9(a) you will enter your birth date, remember you will need to provide a copy of your birth certificate or citizenship card or passport to prove your status!

Question 9(b) is applicable if at any point you were given a Client ID by Immigration; 9(c) most likely does not apply to you, so you can write "Not Applicable".

Thanks for clarification...I just reread the IMM 1344E (http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/forms/IMM1344E.pdf) and it says in Question 9: "If you are a permanent resident or a Naturalized Citizen then provide the following information:" A), B) C)...I am neither so I will say N/A...and not even write my birthday since it doesn't apply to me...am I right? or still getting the facts mixed up haha

My husband has just renewed his passport and on the application forms we indicated the old passport, I have no send the application yet but I am not going to change what I have written...So do you guys think its ok to just send what I have in regards to his passport? and then do I have to send them a photocopy of new passp? and where do I send it and when??

the latter question ( I suggest you read your guide well, the SPONSOR's guide - page 11) it says there if you choose to withdraw you will be refunded the fees for processing the application for PR visa and right right to pr fees you have paid and there will be no decision on the application ...blah blah blah BUT you will not have a right of appeal... you could then resolve the situation leading to your ineligibility and reapply at a later date..

It's better to change the info on the forms now. If you don't want to - but why? - then the best thing would be to include a copy of the new passport with the application; but then CIC is going to wonder why you didn't put this info in the forms in the first place. If someone gets a new passport after the forms have been sent in, then the applicant should send a copy of the new passport to the visa office that is processing the application.
