My partner and I will be applying for a common-law sponsorship (inland) in May. My partner has been financially supporting me throughout my stay in Canada, covering expenses such as housing, food, and internet. He obtained an Affidavit of Support Guarantee from the Philippine Consulate in Toronto stating that he will support me during my stay in Canada. Is this a good evidence of Financial Support?
Since we both have jobs, he rarely sends money directly (I have receipts for the occasional money transfers). Instead, I contribute to household expenses, primarily through groceries and meals, which I purchase using my personal credit and debit cards from my home country. Can I provide snippets of bank transactions from my bank statement as proof of my contribution to household expenses? I can also include a letter explaining this.
To further demonstrate my financial involvement, would grocery transactions from my TD bank account (opened in September 2024 with our shared address) help substantiate this? He just added me as an authorise card holder in his credit card in December. We already have statements with my name on it.
Additionally, we have traveled extensively together and have receipts, vouchers, plane, and train tickets with both of our names. Could these serve as evidence of shared expenses?
Thank you for your guidance!
