Dear bsrk,do u have any knowledge about the jobs in pharmaceutical sales? although it does not look nice to ask that kind of specific questions which cant help others but plz answer if u have any knowledge
Hi Arshad,

Sorry again this is not my domain. You might be better off directing your question to someone practicing Pharmacy here. Look up some Shopper's Drug Marts or Rexall Pharmacy in www.canada411.ca Toronto directory, call them directly and find out.

Good luck.

hi bsrk68, really, a good service you are providing for new and aspiring immigrants. thumbs up.

yea, like you said, canada is a tough place for a new immigrant. unfortunately, to make it in canada, one needs to know someone somewhere. in my experience, to get a job, it's not what you actually know, but mostly it's who you know.

i'm a landed immigrant; i could not find a job so i came back to europe. but i'm still looking out for vacancies in the GTA. however employers do not seem to be bothered to even acknowledge receipt of applications. i started to wonder if the positions i apply for are indeed available. do you think they advertise positions just for marketing purposes or to solidify an internal employee's application?? anyhow, i was wondering if you have any idea about 'computational fluid dynamics (CFD)' vacancies or if you know anyone or any agent in this area. i'm not sure if you are familiar with CFD; if not, please no worries. thanks a lot.

Thanks for your such services to us. I am an Accountant and working in USA based multinational oil & gas company as an Accountant in Bangladesh. I am planning to be migrated by May 2011. Would you please share some informations regarding Accounts Payable/Treasury/Accounts Receivable jobs in Toronto? Would this be possible to manage a job in my field? Thanks.

How far it is true.
sorry for troubling u

You will need to write a couple of exams here to get your Licensing before working as a Pharmacist. Here is a link for the placement agencies you are looking for:

http://careers.humber.ca/docs/health/LIST-AGENCIES.pdf

You have to be a landed immigrant to look for jobs in Pharmacy. No work permits are available to Foreigners in this field.

dear konda, sorry to interfere, but i know something about the subject so i thought of sharing. in canada pharmacy is a regulated profession. you have to give pebc licensing exams to be licensed in the province you reside. all provinces have seperate licenses meaning if you want to practice in ontario you need to be licensed by the ontario pharmacy regulatory body. all foreign pharmacy graduates need to get their certificates evaluated by pebc board first, only then you get a go ahead as to whether or not you can sit for their licensing exams. there are 3 exams totally. it takes about 2 years to clear all the exams and complete the internship. this is in brief. go to the pebc website-there you will get all the details.
i dont think you can work as a pharmacist no matter how many years of experience you may have, unless u are registered in usa, and maybe australia and u.k. (these countries the pharmacy profession is similar to canada so pebc may have seperate rules for them).

hope this helps.

I want to be reside in ontario around toronto/missisauga or near by. If i get admitted do i qualify for OSAF or not.
If i suggest for to get job then where i can get jobs and at what per hour rate .
Iam a married and having two kids of 12 years and 7 years, i will be move to canada with me family. Could i get admission from here before landing and start going university just after landing without wasting my time.

How much amount i have to need for economical living for my family untill i completed my masters. If i qualify for OSAF then how much amount i would get as a loan and for how many hours i can do job.
Any other information regarding university and living.

Dear Ashu,

In Real Estate practice, you will face many hurdles due to a new ruling: See link below:
http://www.competitionbureau.gc.ca/eic/site/cb-bc.nsf/eng/03293.html

Also you will need to take 6 courses here to get a license from RECO (Real Estate Council of Ontario). See link below:
http://www.orea.com/index.cfm/ci_id/10346/la_id/1.htm

I would suggest to start a career with Retail before getting into any of real estate so that you are well stabilized and willing to take your chances.

Good luck

Accounting jobs are more readily available with temporary placement agencies to start with. Teaching profession has a long winding path where you have to get your local accreditions, do voluntary work, work as a supply teacher etc etc before you can be considered. Good luck !!
