Asking for a friend:

I am 16 years old, my dad sponsored me with my step-mom through spouse sponsorship and now I am permanent resident.

Can I sponsor my mom ( she got divorced from my dad), she lives in Pakistan right now?
Or should I wait till I get 18 years old.

Thanks

No, you can't do it now.

You need to wait until you are 18. To qualify, you must also have earned enough income to meet the minimum income requirements from a job in Canada for the last three years in a row. Most likely you will be somewhere in your 20's before you can qualify.

Once you have made enough income for three years in a row to meet the income requirements, you will have to enter the lottery and hope you are selected as a sponsor.
