HELLO ALL,
I HAVE A QUESTION RELATED TO WORK EXPERIENCE. AS YOU ALL ARE SENIORS. SO YOU MIGHT KNOW IT BETTER.I PUT MY FILE FOR EXPRESS ENTRY LAST YEAR WITH ONE YEAR CANADIAN EXPERIENCE. 1ST OF MAY 2018 CIC AUTOMATICALLY INCREASE MY SCORE TO TWO YEARS EXP. BECAUSE OF THAT I GOT ITAON 9 MAY 2018. NOW, TECHNICALLY MY HOURS FOR TWO YEARS (1560 * 2 = 3120) ARE COMPLETED. BUT WHEN CONSIDERING TIME. I STARTED MY JOB IN 2016 JUNE. SO, MY TWO YRS WILL BE COMPLETED IN JUNE 2018 BUT I ALSO WENT TO BACK HOME FOR 3 MONTHS.IF I CONSIDER MY THAT 3 MONTHS, THEN MY TWO YRS EXP WILL BE COMPLETED IN SEPT 2018.

SO WHAT YOU GUYS THINK. SHOULD I SUBMIT THE CASE? OR THEY WILL REJECT IT?

That would depend on your CRS points for 1 and 2 years experience. If your profile showed two years at the time of your ITA your CRS points would reflect that and be overstated. If you submit your application the VO should re-assess your CRS points to reflect the situation at the time of the ITA. So if your re-assessed points for 1 years experience would still be above the level of draw points of 441 on 9th May you should be OK. If your re-assessed points would be 441 you would need to consider the tie-break date included in the 9th May draw. If your re-assessed points are lower the VO will likely reject your application.
Yes due to your 3 month break from work you should consider that you would complete 2 years sometime around september 2018. Assuming you were working 30 hours or more each working week.

You only use hours to calculate eligibility for part-time work (fewer than 30 hours per week), and if you work part-time it is impossible to be eligible for 2 years of work experience in 2 years.

Even if you worked full-time for 2 years, you need to complete the 2 years to be eligible for the points. To be considered full-time, you need to work 30 or more hours per week. It does not matter if you work 30, 40, or 80 hours per week - it is simply "full time" and one year is 52 weeks, 2 years is 104 weeks.

Based on what you have stated above, you are not yet eligible to claim 2 years of work experience. If you accept this ITA and apply now, IRCC will deduct the points for the 2nd year from your CRS score - if your score then falls below the cutoff for your draw, your application will be deemed ineligible.

Many people have to deal with getting the ITA one month too early, but in your case, you have a 3 month gap in Canadian employment that is (apparently) not accounted for in your profile history. So you will either have to account for it yourself (and decline ITAs until you are eligible) or you can actually enter your employment experience as if it were 2 different jobs with the 3 month gap - this will help the system better calculate your eligibility, but you remain ultimately responsible for knowing whether or not you are eligible (for the program and/or for the CRS points).

Hello all. I have my work timesheets. They show I worked 25 weeks in total, not including the weeks I didn't work. I worked total of 232 hours for the entire 25 weeks. The range of hours were 5 to 20 and max hours was not more than 20. How do I mention this in my initial application?

Do you mean creating your EE profile or your PR application after you have received an ITA (invitation to apply)?
-If you are creating your EE profile you are asked to confirm your work experience. For instance for CEC you need a minimum of 1 year full time (or equivalent part time work) in Canada in a qualifying job.
-If you are creating your PR application you will be asked your weekly hours. The above equates to an average of about 9 hours per week and will count as between 7 and 8 weeks of full time work. Your employers letter should confirm you worked part time and the number of hours normally worked (as well as the normal information required). In a similar situation I included payslips to confirm the hours and put an explanation in the additional information section of the application.

I am updating my work experience. I already have 1-year experience in my current job. I wanted to show 3 years of experience and am collecting part-time and other full-time positions to do so. This job is tricky because of the inconsistent hours worked. My employer was going to mention it as a part-time job and max hours worked 20. He was not going to mention a minimum. The only issue I was having is with the initial EE profile update before ITA. they ask for hours worked and I don't know what to write because if I calculate exactly it shows as 9.3 hours because I worked 25 weeks and total hours were around 232.59 but I mentioned 232 in the chat to make it simple.

I calculated an average and rounded down to the nearest whole number and put that in.

That would be fine and then when you get your ITA and do your PR application you can explain the figure you provided in your LOE (letter of explanation).

Thank you! yes, I plan to add my timesheets as well. The timesheets were done on google sheets so should I have them printed on the company letterhead? It was a remote contract position so I didn't have to put in hours on the main company server.

Sounds like a good idea if you can get that done. I took the view that the easier you make it for the officer looking at your appplication the more likely you are to have quick processing.

Could you please help me on my query:

Work experience calculation:
In my first company I served 4 years 7 months
Took 4 days gap excluding weekends
Started my second job and worked there for 1 year 15 days
Took 10 working days gap and
Started working in my third company and so far completed 2 months.

Considering above experience (5 years 9 months), can I enter in EE pool saying 6 years and above or should I need to wait for 6 years to get completed to get that additional FSWP 2 points?

Currently below are my FSWP Points:
Education: 21
English skills: 19
Experience: 13( Can get 15 if above experience can be calculated as 6 years or more and will get eligibility)
Age: 12
Total: 65 (If experience is 15 then total will be 67 and can enter in EE pool)

Query 2: The experience matters at the time of profile creation or at the time of ITA? Anyway, I strongly believe it may take atleast 3 months for getting ITA and I will complete 6 years by date and month. Can I create my EE profile now?

No - you can't enter the EE pool and say that you have 6 years of work experience. You have to wait until you actually reach 6 years of work experience.

How long it will take to get ITA will depend on how many CRS points you have. Right now you need around 460 points to be selected. How many do you have?
