How to make FDD in Canadian dollars from Pakistan

Can any Pakistani can guide me how to make DD from Pakistan in Canadian dollars as I visited Standard chartered Bank noiminated branch to deposit Immigration fees for skilled worker catagory but the concerned person in Bank informed me that Canadian Embassy has revised their forms and omitted skilled worker catagory from their form. so currently even Standard chartered bank can not take deposit, so any body who had made Canadian dollar FDD from Pakistan. As Initially Standard chartered nominated branches can accept immigration fees in Pak rupees. I am struck up here pls guide me.

you can get any bank but must be main branch who operate foreign currency account.
In pakistan you need Cad $ account so bank make it for you or otherwise a person who have Cad $ account can help you to make draft for you. this rule apply most banks in Pakistan.

If you abroad its not a problem, go to your bank even its local currency account, they will do it for you and deduct equalent amount from your local account.

Go to any Bank's Foreign Currency daling branch or go to any Large Money exchanger like DOLLAR EAST (you can still find others). They will make you a DD in CAD $ by having thier fee within 3/4 days. Its very easy to do so.

Yes ,bhai i went various banks including vtantard chartered ,they askek me about my account in foreign currency which i have not ,so i went to western union they took me 36525 rs in total and made draft after 2 days in maximum ,i hope i have given u answer best of luck takecare

Thanks for guidance. I will check western union and give you feedback accordingly.
I have foreign currency account in Euro in Alfalah Bank but they also refused to make DD as State bank of Pakistan does not allow any bank to deal in Canadian dollar. Any bank in Pakistan can only deal in Euro/US$/GBP. He even informed me that if you go to outside currency dealers, they even have to come to a Bank to make DD in canadian dollars and no bank can deal in canadian dollars so its impossible to make DD in canadian dollars. I am very much depressed at this stage.
I also went to foreign currency dealer but he also refused to make DD in canadian dollars due to state bank of Pakistan restrictions.
I think these changes has been made in recent months may be since Dec08-Jan'09

Dear Target2009match, Pls advise when you made DD in canadian dollars from Western union, you can feel the depression and embarrassment i am going through.

Adapability points

Dear Seniors

I have two questions to clarify kindly guide me.

1-We are three family members including me and I am is the principal applicant. I want to pay my fees only as my family will not accompany me if I am successful and later on when I got settled I will take my family with me. is it ok Or should I pay for all my family members.

2-If I do not take my family with me can I still claim adapability points for my wife graduation (14 years education).

Pls go to western union or Dollar east for FDD in canadian dollar they will give you FDD in 2-3 working days.
