How to get Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) from University of Calicut

Hello,

I am a B-Tech graduate from University of Calicut, 2010 batch. I am now preparing for Canada immigration and as the first step, I need to submit documents to WES Canada. I work at Qatar and wont be getting leave for another 5-6 months. Hence, I thought I will initiate the process from here itself, requesting a friend of mine to take the documents to the university. Can any one please help me with the queries listed below?

1. How much is the present fee structure while submitting the request? I heard it is 1500 INR per document along with some other charges. I also
read somewhere that they had reduced the fees after April 2015.
2. Is it possible to obtain the attested documents from University in a sealed envelop so that we can courier it ourselves?
3. If it is the university who is sending to WES, how long it will take for them and how can we track the document.
4. Do I have to present the original certificate and mark lists while requesting for the process?

Hey guys, I figured it out. I am sharing the details below so that it would be useful for others.

1. Register in WES, pay the fees and obtain the reference number. Download the request form and fill up the details.
2. Get application form from the University.
3. Any one can apply on your behalf. There is no need to show your original documents.
4. Pay fees at the counter. Fee structure is like this :
a. 1500 INR per document (Wow!!!)
b. Search fees of 250 INR if your degree is less than 10 years old. Otherwise, it is 550 INR.
c. Postal charges.Its about 1050 INR for Canada.
5. Submit the WES request form along with University application form and copies of all the mark lists and degree certificate.
6. Make sure that the document copies are clear and legible. They should not be attested by anyone before submission.
7. It will take minimum 2 weeks for the University to verify the documents.After verification, they will send the documents to WES directly after
attesting it. They will not hand it over to you.
8. I am not sure whether they will be sharing any tracking number for the document sent. However, you can inquire about the status from University
and also from WES website.
9. You may contact the University at numbers+91-494-240-7482 or +91-494-240-7483. Good luck with your process.

Thanks for the info Sreeraj. I also did my Btech from Calicut university 2007 Passout. My consultant is saying only need to submit the consolidate d mark list. The degree certificate i can send directly to WES. I would like to get clarified on the same.

For B.tech degree transcripts and certificate copy both are to be sent

Thanks. Want to clarify all semester individual mark list should be sent or I have one consolidated mark sheet which shows only total marks for individual semesters, No subject wise marks mentioned in that sheet. Kindly clarify

Hi Guys,

I also passed my B Tech from Calicut University in 2006. Since i had a lot of back papers, i have a huge list of mark-lists.

I applied for a consolidated mark list. Its a single sheet of paper with all (Semesters {1-8} + Subject details).Now i am going to apply for
the transcript with this consolidated mark list so i would be paying Rs 1500 + Rs 550 {search fee}

This what they told me when in inquired at both Partikhsha & University itself. Has anyone used the similar approach?

Hope this is the right way for the ECA procedure.

Please clarify.
