Will be applying under University Category and this GIC is mandatory for SPP Applicants

I hope not buying GIC would not weaken up my profile ...

SPP buying GIC doesn't guarantee the Visa approval. As said, your profile seems good and shouldn't be a problem. But please ensure your loan is a genuine one as they are very strict about it and introduction of SPP and mandate of buying GIC is only to eliminate this malpractice. We are the ones to screw up things and we are the ones to face them... some of us do it, but rest all bear the outcome.

Anyway wish you luck buddy. Hope you reach your destination in time.

If we buy GIC then loan is not required ....under SPP????

Hello,

Greetings for the day!

As this is a new process, it is specified that if funds do not originate from the candidate's account, they will return the funds. Now, if someone has already done this and faced no issue, then you can try this.

@Sahil Chopra, Have you got your GIC certificate after paying from your father's account?

Hi ,
Can we deposit the CAD 10,100 to our account for GIC from father's account na ???
You cant do that aman. Money should be transfer from your account only. Sender name should be your name.

m asking again...pls reply...If we buy GIC then loan is not required ....under SPP?? ::)

@ MoneyWAter,

you do not need loan if you purchase GIC to cover your living expenses. Yet you can opt loan only for tuition fee. If you have CAD 24 to 25k, no need of loan at all. If you have around 10K only with you, then buy GIC from your own money and pay tuition fee with your loan amount.

Hope it helps.

Cheers!

Some1 is sayin here 1 thing and some 1 is denying it... totally confused.

Simple Question is : CAN I PURCHASE GIC FROM THE LOAN ACCOUNT IN THE NAME OF ME AND MY FATHER JOINTLY ??

My Consultant is saying that he has sent many students who followed this above approach.

and If NO, then I can show 10k $ directly from my Loan account to Visa officers ( Rather than purchasing GIC) . Will it weaken my profile ??
