Hello Guys,

How do you pack your forms and all of other supporting evidences? We are at the last stage of preparing and wonder anyone has some suggestions about packaging application kit.

Thanks!

Take a look at the following link. There are tons of suggestions.

Just get them to CPC-M safely. That is all you need to do, as they are unpackaged there and repackaged into a standard format for processing. This is before the application processing begins, so it's unlikely that the agent processing the file will see any of the original packaging. There is a recent thread posting on here somewhere which describes the process in some detail.

Well, for what it is worth, I bought a folding file index from Walmart, for about 9 dollars, and used that to organize all the papers and application documents in the order they where filled out. I found it handy because I was able to label the tabs of the file folder thing, and it helped keep me somewhat more organized as I was adding receipts, documents etc. to corresponding parts of the application. Hope it helps, and good luck!

dont use any special binding or things like that, they don't like "fancy". We numbered every single page, including all attachments, and then put in a table of contents identifying every page and every form, so it was easy to access.

Put the pages in some reasonable order, number them, and attach an index. You could also make sure each page of evidence is labelled with the sponsor and applicant's names and dates of birth, just in case things get misplaced.
After that, it doesn't really matter. The organization is more for you, because folders, clips, etc. will be removed once CIC receives the application.

I kind of layed out everything in the order they asked it. I printed the photos off on paper and they specify the number of photos they want, and in the case of my country, they specified exactly what events they wanted for sure. I think I sent about 20 pics, including some from my wedding (specific ones they asked for), special occasions, parties and of us alone. I used a big clip to clip everything together and has smaller clips for each package and further things I needed to put together within that, used paperclips. No staples or tape or binding I included a cover letter with sponsor's name, sponsored person's name and the kind of application (spousal sponsorship) and the date, table of contents and appendix for anything that I had to put at the end. For the passport-size pics, I included them in a tiny ziploc bag displaying them clearly and attached it with a clip in the appropriate sequence in my form. Also, in the questions that the various proof was relating to, I said "Please refer to Page #...". I figure that instead of looking all over the place, they'd want to know where to look. Then I found the perfect folder (that could include my hubby's original oversized degrees and all) and it wasn't like a section folder, it was more of just a regular folder with pockets that I could fasten close with a string that went around it, hard to explain but I didn't want to make it too too heavy. So anyhow, put that folder in an envelope in case anything falls out. Then put that envelope in another envelope that was bubble-wrapped from inside (element of waterproof) and also waterproofed from outside since I sent it out around the winter and it can get pretty wet...and voila sent it off!

Just an FYI, don't got too much with clips etc ( although this maybe different for each location ) as I remember layering out everything with individual paperwork and titles etc for my student visa back in 2000, ND Embassy. As soon as I handed my meticulously preapred paperwork, the collector at the window removed everything and stacked it like 1 whole bunch of papers and put it in their large sized transparent envelope with file # on the outside

It broke my heart, it didn't make any difference to the results though
