Thanks, but to make sure.
We are travelling to Toronto in mid May, my wife can enter the custom as a visitor (got eTA already)?
or
We have to officially landed?

As far as I know you can enter as a visitor .... You don't have to validate your pr right away. However the officer will definitely be able to see your pr is approved, so be prepared that they may ask you questions

Thanks, we prepared to answer if they ask and will definitely bring along the COPR with us when enter.

Hong Kong VO requested additional document about my husband's Schedule A form on Mar-16-16,more details on each position he has ever worked in Government. We submitted them on Mar-18-16. Did Someone have experience if security interview will be required.

Just received email from Hong Kong to re- medical exam. The original one will be expired on June-10-2016. It means will be PPR soon?

I think they will likely start the security and police check soon. I read once that they don't start the security until after the medical is recieved, but I never really found out for sure if that is true.

For my wife and I, we got the the PPR about 26 days after we did the medical at an e-medical office in Guangzhou. My wife's case was very simple though, she never travelled or lived outside of China, and was never a part of government or military.

These things can affect how long before you get a PPR.

I am just wondering if anyone who submitted their passports to Beijing in the last week or two have gotten a tracking number from the VAC in Beijing. I have not heard anything.

@hicks74,

hello ... since your wife is from Guangzhou by chance does she need to get an exit permit from the Public Security Bureau Exit-Entry office to leave China?

thanks

Hello everyone, please help me to understand what all these mean on GCMS notes:
(1) "decision entered" &
(2) "FOSS searched" &
(3) "file to Canada-base officer to proceed with statutory assessment" ?

Outland applicant since Aug 2015,
Status still "in process" under HKVO,

Thanks!

Not that we are aware of. We will check into it, but I never heard of it before.

I sent my wife Passport to Beijing on 27/04/2016 by SF. we received the email today from VAC. I recommend you to call VAC and your courier company to make sure it is arrived. That's not normal!

Thanks, we do know it arrived. The VAC called on Monday and asked if we wanted to get a refund for the extra fee we paid. But we never got a tracking number yet.

email from HKVO saying " RCMP Criminal Record Check: If your residence period in Canada has been six months or longer since the age of 18, provide a certified criminal record check . This must be received at this office by: 2016/05/07"

Hello, everyone! Does anybody know how long it will take to receive PPR after submission of Fingerprint ? As for my case, the fingerprint result had been received by HKVO 40 days ago, so far there is no any change to my application, the status is still in process.
Thank you.
