Thanks for sharing the quote of logistic companies. May I know your quote refer to point to point service incl. pick-up and deliver to your home in Cdn ? Incl. packaging material carton boxes?
I will use frieght forwarding company instead of professional moving company for cost saving. We will have 2 cargo containers 40 ft' for family of 5. Many stuffs and furniture. I am waiting for quotation.

It is nice to share our research info.
Hi Mumof3

Yes, the quote includes door to door service and all packaging materials carton boxes. Professional moving companies are expensive, so I am considering buying most of the things in Canada.

Hi Ian,

I am still waiting quotation and I am in contacting with a broker in Mississauga for DDU and mover service to unload the container. Quotation will come in next week. Expecting all the stuffs will leaving HK by beginning of June 2015, because out flight ticket to Vancouver mid of July.

I also seeking for a temp warehouse to store our stuffs, we try to empty the house to on listing ASAP. I spent plenty of time doing research on logistic issue and I am willing to share with you. :)

Hi Mumof3,
that is perfect. thanks much to share the information as we have the almost the same time to get the COPR. ( you are 1 month earlier than me that is our expectation from CIC process ). one more thing, how do you know that you can get the PR document (PR visa ) before July ? is it a risk to schedule the ticket of July flight ?

Ian.

Hello Everyone,

My sponsorship was approved on Feb 14. However, I have not received the letter in mail, and the application has not been received by the HK visa office (AOR2 not received yet). Is this normal? I saw on the spreadsheet that several applicants had received AOR2 from HK. I'm a bit worried now... :(

Thanks!

Is there a Hong Kong spreadsheet in this thread?
Hi everyone,
I wonder if there is a HK spreadsheet too. I am still waiting for SA.

By the way, does anyone know if the applicant has been living in Canada since 18 years old, will a HK police certificate be requested during stage 2 file review?

Thanks!

Don't be too worried! You may check November 2014 spreadsheet, My file was transferred to HK earlier than Mumof3, but received AOR2 later than her.
You may receive yours in few days!! Good Luck!!!

Hi,
I have a question

If the HK police cert is requested and it takes 4 weeks for them to process, while CIC allows only "30 days" to respond, isn't the time kind of tight? What if (has anyone had experience) CIC receives the HK police cert on the 40th day? Would it lead to application refusal?

because applicant is in Canada, it will take 1-2 weeks to receive fingerprint result from police station, 1 week 3 days to mail to HK police department, plus 4 weeks of their processing time. That's 42-49 days from the day CIC requests for HK police cert!

Thanks!!

Hi Ymserver,

From my experience with TNT, it only took me about 3 days to send a document from Vancouver, BC to Hong Kong. It did not need a week.

Thanks. I just checked, from where I live (Manitoba) to HK is also 3 days with Priority post, good! However, it ll take a week to get the fingerprints from police station. Seems like I better get it first before HKVO requests the HK police cert from me.

Anyway, did they ask you for HK police cert? If so, what kind of doc did you get from RCMP/ Vanc police station for the fingerprints?

Thanks!!

Re: Hong Kong timeline: AOR2 questions

hello everyone,
After logging into my e-cas with my file number,I noticed my mailing address with not correctly stated.so I sent the visa office an email containing the correct mailing address.after about two days,I received an email with a new UCI number which is mine and my application number telling me to quote the numbers when dealing with the office. And also the email contained the date of AOR 1.
My question is: does this email serves as AOR 2?

Lastly the email ended with this;

Consulate General of Canada
Visa Section
8/F, 25 Westlands Road, Quarry Bay
Hong Kong
China (PRC)
www dot hongkong dot gc dot ca
www dot cic dot gc dot ca

Apparently sent from Hong Kong visa office.
Any suggestions would be highly appreciated.
Thank you.
