I wonder if the applicant lives in Canada since the age of 16 as a international student and PGSW worker until now, Canada is the only residency since 16, does he still need to provide a police certificate from Hong Kong (where he born)?

Hi guys, I am new to this forum. just wonderring if anyone had DM from HK VO this month. I sent my PP on the first of this month, and my ecase is still showing in progress. Looks like it it taking longer than I had expected. I have a flight to catch on the 10th of Jan, is hesitating whether I should contact the HK office and have my pp back for the trip since they are not really working on it as the holidays are approaching. Please advise. thanks

The time varies. I saw some people here got their sponsorship approval in as short as 6 months. Some took longer than that like a year or more. You should get the UCI number when the sponsor's part is approved. I got the number 3 months after I sent my application.

When you start to apply it and got the SA ? they said it only takes 60+ for the normal case (average) ?

Hi Ian,

FAM AOR getting slow current status 80+ days, SA takes addition a week or two. You may check it out Oct outland forum.
My package arrive CIC 21 Nov. I expect to hear something beginning of Feb.

my FAM application packages (from HK) is sent to CIC 3 weeks (around 11 Dec) later than you guys. So I think you may get the SA sooner than me. Anyway, please inform us here once you got the SA.

Hi Ian, we got the passport request from CIC HK around Dec. 11st...and my husband sent out his passport... CIC HK received our package on Dec. 15th.... but seems up to now, there is nobody get any news from CIC HK.... yeah, hope that you can get SA soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi, we submitted on Sept. 8th... now we had sent the passport, awaiting DM and visa....
