Hi, minnekei,

Thank you for your advise.

In fact that I have already shown the IO some information of real estate information that I will plan to buy during the interview.

I received interview request letter around 22/6/2014 and interview was on 22/7/2014.

I used the interview request letter to apply for my CNCC on 30/6/2014 and I called to check the status on 24/7/2014, the police officer told me that they have sent out to CIC on 22/7/2014. It is much faster than what I have expected since the official timeline is 4 weeks.

fymak,

i think your case would be just a random check, and everything will go smooth soon
and is that means your hubby hasn't receive the SA letter before?

Hi, Littleern,

Thank you.

May I know what is SA letter? Sponsorship Approval? I do not know as we have applied via our consultant. However, I have checked that status of Sponsorship, result is "Decision Made", not sure if it is stand for "approved".

I believe it is Sponsorship Approval ;)

Hi fymak, can you post your timeline here, like when did CIC received your apps. Are u or your spouse a returning resident? Did HKVO ask u to provide financial proof? Do you mind sharing what questions they ask you in the interview. I might be in a similar situation and hope to know more. Thanks.

Similar to you, I use my AOR2 email from HKVO to apply the CNCC and the police force accept it! You know I actually got my AOR2 on Feb 19 and I have been asking HKVO to send me a request letter because I am leaving HK to mainland when my current working visa expired... but they never replied anything useful...so 5 months passed...I am so pissed so I decided to give a try on July 2nd and cannot believe HK police is that nice!!! And my CNCC was sent on July 23rd!!!

Apparently HKVO hasn't filed your CNCC with your materials when they sent out the request email. I suggest you to ask for the registered mail tracking number from HK police and send an email to HKVO indicating your CNCC was already sent separately from other material and give them the tracking number and CNCC file No.

Wish you get your visa very soon!

Dear all,

I need your advise!

I have attended an interview few days ago and received email from the IO who was not satisfied with my hubby (NR - sponsor) and me genuinely intend to reside in Canada at any time in the near future and requested us to provide the below to make the final decision:

- credible evidence of our plans to establish ourselves and my family in Canada (i.e. job offers in Canada, other significant and credible settlement arrangements) --> both my hubby and I are in HK and how we can have job offers in Canada, also, I do not have work permit, how I can get a job offer..

- credible evidence of the operation of the numbered company in Canada such as financial statements, tax returns and marketing plan --> really don't know what to do!!

- credible evidence that my hubby and I have servered, or have begun to sever my ties to HK
(i.e. contracted shipment of goods to Canada --> I am asking for quotation from moving company and will confirm the quotation next week
credible evidence of disposal of assets in HK --> we only rent a flat and do not have property, I have already terminated the leaseing agreement
letter of release form the HKSAR Inland Revenue department --> I have just notified IRD by email today
transfer of financial assets to domiciled in HK to Canada --> don't know what to do, please advise.
credible letter of resignation for myself --> I can submit my resignation letter as reference and my employer is preparing reference letter for me stating that I will move to Canada for good ......... is it sufficient??

Any other relevant information that I can made the IO believe that my hubby and I will move back Canada for good? and have enough fund to support a family of 4 (I have USD60K bank draft and have shown it to the IO during interview) ?

I am not sure if it is strange that after I have received the above letter from IO, I then received another email from CGC in 15 minutes requesting me to provide the below to continue the processing of my application:

1. New medical exam required - this must be received at this office by 2014/08/24 - have arranged to do the exam again
2. RPRF, family class - this must be received at this office by 2014/08/24
3. Police Certificate - this must be received at this office by 2014/08/24 - police has already sent the cert to their office on 22 July 2014

They did not request me for my passport but there is a sentence stating "Please note that police certificates and passports must be originals"...........do I need to submit my passport as well??

Also, there is saying "Please submit the requested documents as a single package." ...... I have checked with police office, they will not submit the original cert to CGC directly ... how can I submit all the requested information in a single package??

Sorry for so many questions, I really don't understand if it is a good sign or not and what I should do right now, so confusing, so frustrating. Please help!

Million thanks.

Hi fymak,

Just wondering when did you submit your application and how long have you waited to get the interview request since the confirmation of receiving your application at the visa office??

many thanks

My friend applied her hubby to Canada. She got rejected simply because both of them were in HK. When I heard of it, it was hard to believe. I had no clue what happened to them as she didn't tell me all the details. She didn't appeal at all :-[

Hi littleern

What does this mean on your status?

File Transfer...: Aug 8, 2014

sponsorship approval on Aug 8, and my file just transferred to HKVO on Aug 8

my daugher 's citizenship certificate was issued in 4 months (applied in mid-March, got the certificate last week), which was supposed to be 9 months. Maybe this wouldn't be related to our visa process. But hopefully, the visa process can be as fast as the citizenship application. Let us be positive ;) ;) ;)

She got sponsorship approval and the record was passed to HKVO. Her hubby had medical check-up too...
She didn't tell me all the details, just said the reason for rejection was simply because both of them are living in HK. When she told me, I did say it was impossible. My other friend and his wife and son lived in HK too, they succeeded and moved back to Canada.

I will add our timeline as well...

1.We received your application to sponsor ********* on March 14, 2014.

2. Sponsorship approved April 15

3.We started processing your application on April 15, 2014.

4.We sent you a letter on April 15, 2014 about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

Nothing since.

Additionally, our medical expires October 28, 2014
My wife is from the Philippines, working in Macau for the past 7 years.

Just got an email requests the passport from my wife today! I hope this implies her application got approved!
