I submitted GCMS note last Monday but have not heard back yet.

They are required by law to respond in 30 days normally (they can take a 30 day extension). In my experience they send you the results 30 days later. Normally they are ~30 days old at that time.

I think you just need to submit photos which were taken at different times to show that the relationship progression. And you can include photos which show the changes in your haircut, different seasons, to make the officers see the progression.
I sent scanned copies of the bday cards, receipts only.
I didn’t attach any original photos, just scanned them and put them in a chronological order on the documents.

Thanks! :)

We read thru the forms and have some questions:

My hubby and I knew each other for over 15 years. We didn't keep documents and/or emails in early period to prove our relationship. We only found few birthday cards, just wondering if these are ok. Can we send scanned copies?

For photos, we found that some of our photos didn't have date. Is it okay?

Do we have to organize the photos in chron. years and use paper clips to clip the photos yearly?

Does anyone know whether GCSM is useful?

My case is no reply from CIC after submit the police cert (mainly check the sponsor, as the sponsor is not staying canada in couple of years), we get CIC confirmation that they've recevied the police cert in mid of April and get the UCI number by phone inquiry. CIC call agent only ask us to wait and cannot answer whether the sponsorship is approved by phone. The UCI number is not workable by online checking and we still get no reply (email / letter) unitl now, I just wonder whether our case has transfer to HKVO or not.

Does anyone know whether this link is trustful in checking the status?

I assume you've checked this link http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/atip/requests-atip.asp - I've found the GCSM notes to be fairly complete in their scope of a decision on a refused visitors visa last year. But that said, I've yet to receive my recent request to help us determine where we are in this whole process... It couldn't hurt to know whatever they've got. I don't think I'd pay this firm (your link) 25CAD for something that you can get for 5CAD - if you're a citizen or PR of Canada...

Hi,

I need help, please.

For the reason that my husband didn't send in the fbi police certificate in time to cic office, our application was refused in December of 2013..

So I am reapplying to sponsor my husband outland. I mailed out our package in the beginning of March, 2014, and it was received and signed by Cic a few days later. However, ever since then, I haven't heard anything from Cic. Is this normal?
Its been almost 4 months now, not Aor or SA. I tried emailing cic with no luck.I am so worried. Can anyone share anything with me?

You should have a UCI from the previous application - it doesn't change. The fee receipt can also be used for them to look it up, as can your biographic data (name, date of birth, place of birth, etc.)

The UCI doesn't change? Oh my God! I put in N/A for UCI when I was filling out the forms for the second application. Should I contact CIC and give them my UCI?

I wonder what is UCI #?

Unique Client Identification number (well, "Identifier" to be precise)

I have a question. For the scanned copies of the bday cards/photos, u just print them in black and white OR color?

They will look it up for you. No issue.
