I received a letter that my application is intended to refuse as we don't have enough proof showing our intention to move back to Toronto.
What do you all think if we buy a flight ticket ( one way ) to Toronto ?
As my husband have job in HongKong, he can't leave at the moment. He needs around 3 months of notice of resignation.
If I go to Toronto as a tourist, I can stay there up to 6 months. I am from HongKong (Visa-exempted for tourist)
Can I work if I am a tourist ?
What can I do / provide to show our intention to move back to Toronto ?
Anyone advise ? Appreciated for all of your reply.
Hello Ireney,
Sorry to hear about that!! Sounds Hong Kong VO is really focusing on the sponsor's intention!!
First of all, you definitely
NOT allow to work as a tourist! the only way is holding a working holiday visa or work permit!
We have our application in Hong Kong VO as well, but I am sponsoring my husband to be a P.R. We read a lot of post that saying many cases are pending on the "intention" issues, even thought we had an explanation letter that indicated our plan and few broker emails about house purchasing and mortgage, we still keeping most of the evidence that may support our intention.
Such as:
A: Finding a job in Canada ( both of my husband and me)
B: My husband's professional conversion procedure.
C: Private Insurance for New immigrant and return Canadian medical coverage.
D: Identities (driver's licence, medical card, etc) application procedure.
E: My husband's Credit Transfer (from the HSBC)
F: Consult HSBC in writing about opening a New account in Canada HSBC after VISA Issued.
G: Compare prices in Shipping container agents.
H: How to take my dog back to Canada.
I: House Searching screen print
J: Emails to brokers and agents in buying house and mortgage.
K: Mails from friends that confirm we could stay with them as long as we want.
We are expecting Hong Kong VO will send the request as " showing your intention to move back to Canada" in the future too, so that we are just keep making the record as much "up to date" as possible.
