Thanks for the reply. I'm only sponsoring my spouse. So no need for photos of my spouse's family?gersonjaijai said:5 photos for principal applicant: for sure.
spouse's family members:
A: if the member will come with your spouse and includes in the application, yes, s/he needs that 5 photos.
B: if the member will NOT come with your spouse to Canada, s/he does not need that 5 photos.
The Medical record is value for one year.
Police clearance is value for half year, if she went to that country more than 6 months, she will also needs a security fingerprint from that country's local police office.
BTW, are you sponsoring a girlfriend or spouse? it has huge difference in processing!!! make it clear before submitting your application!!!
I see. Since one of the benefits of doing the application outland is the ability to appeal, I will undoubtedly appeal if I am found ineligible. But is it really about the appeal? In the Spousal Sponsor thread, one poster suggested that most want a refund because if found ineligible the other choice is only for Humanitarian & Compassionate grounds. At the end it's just money but still I don't want to screw up my application. Any advice?computergeek said:You do this if you would want to appeal the decision that you are ineligible to sponsor.
if she doesn't have dependent, then ONLY HER photos is fine!!!Wolfie said:Thanks for the reply. I'm only sponsoring my spouse. So no need for photos of my spouse's family?
About the police clearance, so if she got a police clearance from Hong Kong when she did her working holiday visa but she's been in Canada ever since, she still has to get another police clearance from Hong Kong?
And sorry for the confusion. I'm about to get married so I'll be sponsoring a spouse. I'm too use to typing gf since we dated for many years.
I submit passport and required to undergo the medical examiations, so might maybe need take couple monthsgersonjaijai said:Just wondering if the VO officers are selecting case to process first...
I saw another forum's spreadsheet that is showing Hong Kong VO has some cases process really fast, PPR on Nov 17, then DM on 6 Dec, VISA issued on 12 Dec...
how come we are not the selected one~~~~~ :'(
Good news !!! Congra !!browntrout said:saw an "A decision has been made" update today on e-cas, hopefully will get an early Christmas gift in my mail box in the next few days
Seems like a "final stage" request also, so wouldn't worry.ireney said:Good news !!! Congra !!
I was requested to provide the proof of 'the intention of staying in Canada of Sponsor(my husband)'
together with my passport. I submitted them to VO at 02 Dec. Hope I can have good news soon .
Thanks for your reply. I hope it is final stage.browntrout said:Seems like a "final stage" request also, so wouldn't worry.
What i have found with the HK VO office is if you send them a query online, they will look it up, and perhaps process it. Saying because the day before my file went on process and decision, i had emailed them.
Congratulations Browntrout!!! You finally will receive that "BIG" envelope soon~~browntrout said:saw an "A decision has been made" update today on e-cas, hopefully will get an early Christmas gift in my mail box in the next few days
Thanks, just got the passport back. Getting a ticket later on today, to LAND sometime in Jan 2014. Updated my details in my signature (timeline for me) Took be exactly 3 months from sending the application to Mississauga to getting my passport back.gersonjaijai said:Congratulations Browntrout!!! Can you finalize your timeline for us? it will help a lot to understand how much time to process through Hong Kong VO.
Thank you~~
