I'm sorry if this offended you. Like what you said, my personal opinion which I am entitled to. I also said in case you missed it that I hope I am wrong because a family member of mine is also in the middle of an application. I have twitted and even emailed the Minister for them to look into this, zero response. It doesn't look like this is one of their priorities right now. if you follow them on Twitter a lot of people have been tweeting about different programs, expired COPRs etc etc and they are not responding to any such "complaints" we have.

please wait till mid year. This program is not in priority at all. Its like a lock down situation at this moment. You will start seeing responses on 2019 applications in a few months

Hopefully.

According to who?

This program should be a priority too. Ask from people who need caregivers how important it is.

because majority will be vaccinated. The good thing canada is ordering vaccines too fast. That a ray of hope actually.
There's actually gonna be a reduction of Pfizer vaccine shipments in the next couple of months so vaccine rollout might be delayed. And like here in Alberta, they're anticipating rollout to general public in Fall. And those working for IRCC are not really considered essential workers or frontliners so they would probably fall under the general public category.

IRCC won’t need to wait till everyone is vaccinated. They may resume the process as soon as the situation is better. IMO.

It will happen eventually.

I really hope so

hello which country are you from? Are you inside or outside canada? We’re the same they received my application January 11 signed by D. Daina

Hello!
I’m from Brazil and also sent my application this month, and they received on January 11 signed also by D. Daina! ☺️
I also heard something about that the process was not opened yet this year, that the immigration would say at the end of the month when we could apply again... but sincerely, if this was an official statement, it would be on the IRCC website at the HCCP page, the same way they wrote about the close of the process to new applicants on 2020.
I trust in what they publish on the official site only.

I've followed up ircc last week. Their agents seems to be rude and not helping at all. They are now saying that this program doesn't have any processing time. But I said according to their website it will take 12 months of processing everything. And we understand that there's pandemic and it will actually causing the delays. They said that there's no way to follow up this program to the immigration since they are just an agent and they don't have any control in processing papers. So basically they were saying this program HCCP might take more than a year. I also asked them about if they are still approving work permits and stuff they laughed and said yes there are hundreds everyday. They said all we can do is just to wait. And yeah I think they don't prioritize this program for now.
