Hi

We submitted our application in January, and have also received SA.

I fear that I might have answered one or two questions incorrect on my IMM5669E.

I answered no to all questions under section 6, but no I fear that i might have made misrepresentation...

Some years back when my spouse and I started dating, I was in Canada on a visitor VISA, while in Canada I Applied and was denied a study permit and also a work VISA, I did get one extension on my Visitor VISA, but finally I also got denied an extension to a visitor VISA, and left Canada before 90 days after.

So I never got deported or anything, we have lived in Europe since, but been back in Canada 1-2 times every year for periods up to 2 months, never had any trouble coming back in.

My worry is with this two questions:

6d. Been refused refugee status, an immigrant or permanent resident visa (including a Certificat de sélection du Québec (CSQ) or application to the Provincial Nominee Program) or visitor or temporary resident visa, to Canada or any other Country?

I did not mean to answer this questions wrong or falsely, but at the time I did not think that the study permit application nor the work permit was listed in question 6d, that is why I originally answered no to the question. Now I understand that both is under the temporary resident visa, also I was thinking that CIC would read this from my file history.

6e. Been refused admission to, or ordered to leave, Canada or any other country

I was denied restoration of visitor status, and left Canada shortly after. I was not deported or removed from canada.

Can/should I resubmit a new IMM5669E form to London ,or email them and explanation regarding this.
- or should I hold my horses until I hear from London.

What should I do?

Thanks

I would not hold your horse.

If they continue and discover this that is misrepresentation and a 2 year ban.

I don't know if it is too late to amend your paperwork but I would sure try as quickly as possible!

Hi Becki567

Thanks for you time.

By amend, to you mean resubmit form IMM5669E?

I do not now much about this procedures, can I phone CIC and tell/explain them.
- Or how should I go on with this....

Regarding question 6e, what is the correct answer in my case?

Thanks again.

I would say 6d you definitely misrepresented.

For 6e, when you were denied did they say you had 90 days to leave? If so, I would consider that an order to leave. Answering yes to that question shouldn't affect your application really. But giving a false no, could be misrepresentation. I would always be extra cautious and give all the information when answering those types of questions

When did you submit your application and to which visa office?

I'm kind of in the same boat, HolgerDanske. I also applied in January, and my husband and I wrote 'no' to that answer as well. 2 1/2 years ago he applied for a work visa but was denied, so instead just came to visit for the summer instead of working. He is an American so doesn't need a TRV or anything. We wrote 'no' since he was never denied entry into Canada. But now we are going to fix that because we don't want to be thought to be hiding something.

What we are going to do (in about two weeks when he comes to visit me) is re-do that form completely, explaining what type of visa he applied for and was denied, and explain why we didn't write it in the first place. Write that when you applied you didn't think that type of visa denial qualified, but are now making sure you include everything in your application.

Send the corrected form and explanation with a cover sheet to the London office, with your file number and information, as well as your sponsors UCI/info on the package so they can match it with your original application. As a tip, ask for tracking and a signature so you can ensure that someone has received it. I would then email them a couple weeks later asking if they have received the package and put it with your application. Can never be too safe :)

Hi HolgerDanske, I know it has been a long time since you posted that topic. But I am kinda in the same situation right now. I just realized that I answered 'no' to this question
6d. Been refused refugee status, an immigrant or permanent resident visa (including a Certificat de sélection du Québec (CSQ) or application to the Provincial Nominee Program) or visitor or temporary resident visa, to Canada or any other Country?

While in fact, I have been refused to get temporary resident visa to Canada last year. I have been living in Canada for the past three years, and I am holding a valid study permit. But last year I traveled to the United States for 3 months for an internship. While I was there, I thought that I might as well renew my temporary resident visa, in case we wanted to go for a vacation outside North America after I finish my internship. But because I was on a study leave, for the internship, I couldn't prove my status as a student in Canada then. So long story short my TRV application got rejected, but since the study permit is still valid and no TRV is required from the US back to Canada anyways, so I have never had any problems in crossing the borders. That's why I answered 'no' since I was never denied entry into Canada.

I see now that you have already landed last July (congratulations by the way). So can you please share your experience? Did you send the visa office any updated or corrected IMM5669 form, or tried to explain the issue by any means? Please help me.....

Hi

I have the same problem. I have applied under fswp 2014. I have already submitted medicals and RPRF fees. But few days back I discovered that I have wrongly filled IMM5669 form. I was refused a temporary resident visa to canada in 2012 which I was not aware of, as it was processed through my company. It came under my notice few days back that there were refusals at that time but passports were not stamped with refusals. Now my questions are -

Did you sent any corrected form to CIC?
I have received ITA under express entry too, should I withdraw application from FSWP 2014 and continue with ITA?
Should I inform local VO for my mistake?

Please help.

Thanks

Thanks for your great advice, I made same mistake :( and already sent revised Schedule A (IMM5669) with explanation letter by post. I also use Web form from CIC website to upload these revised forms. Is it enough?

IMM 5669 E Schedule A - Background / Declaration
6d. Been refused refugee status, an immigrant or permanent resident visa (including a Certificat de sélection du Québec (CSQ) or application to the Provincial Nominee Program) or visitor or temporary resident visa, to Canada or any other Country?

I am perplexed by the nature of this question. My father applied twice for Skilled Immigration to Canada, in which my mother was the spouse and I (12 and 16 years old) was listed as dependent. Unfortunately, the visa was denied both times and my father died a few years ago. After almost a decade, me and my mother have applied for Permanent Resident visas to Canada and in the original forms we have answered "NO" to that question.
We are still waiting for the interview but are confused if any of us should have answered "YES" to that question. Please help.
NOTE: My mother was present in both interviews but my father was the principal applicant. I wasn't present at any of the interviews.
