Help needed - CSQ

Hello, I have just been informed that I have been approved as a sponsor. However we did not receive any letter yet.

Since, we are applying through Quebec, I am worried that we might not get the letter in time.

My question is : in the letter from CIC, requesting the CSQ, is there a deadline specified by which date they should receive the CSQ? What is the common time given by CIC to get them the CSQ?

If you just got SA, chances are you won't get a document request for your CSQ just yet. But I'm not sure the processing times for your visa office. Have you asked anyone on the Pretoria thread?

When we received the letter for CSQ & undertaking the deadline was 6 months after the date the letter was sent to us. Hope thats any help.

When I was approved as a sponsor I called the cic and asked for my SA email because I needed it for my csq application. Once you get it, you will use it to apply for the csq. How long have you been waiting for the email? It takes some time, like two weeks or one!

I believe cic come first before MiDi because that was how l got mine and when you receive SA from cic, it will be indicate that you need the letter to apply for CSQ and by the way who informed you that you've been approved, how and where did you get the information of the approval because l believe you muxt receive SA to apply for csq

Hello. Thank you everyone for your replies.

I had to phone CIC to get information since my online status was ``Decision made``. They informed me that I had got SA and they had sent the letter on 21 July. But still have not received any mail.
I need to apply for CSQ since we would be living in Quebec.

But as some of you said, the deadline is 6 months, i guess i can relax a bit and wait for the SA letter to arrive, without getting crazy ;D

Did you get an email for sponsorship approval? If so, you will not receive a letter. There should have been a PDF attached you need to print and send along with the forms for the CSQ.

also, MIDI and CIC are supposed to communicate on their own for the CSQ, but they didn't for mine, and sending the CSQ via email didn't work for me, and ended up in my application's refusal. I'd mail the original in myself if I had to go back and do it all again.
