Hi everyone,
I received an email from the embassy this morning with the request for an interview. It does not mention bringing a Schedule A. He'll bring it, but it seems that there is a discrepancy between what he was told and what the embassy is actually asking. It seems to me that the embassy is asking just the normal request for an interview.

Just thought I'd let you all know.

Relating to the schedule A- it doesn't hurt for him to bring an updated one. I doubt they will ask as the file has not been in Havana for too long. It doesn't hurt to always have ready in your back pocket.
Keeping my fingers crossed for same day visa once he is done his interview!!!

We received an email asking for the police record contract and reciept as well as an updated schedule A. No appointment or interview. They wanted to know what my husband was doing from 2006-2009 and wanted to know all his addresses. He was in school at that time which was under the education section of the schedule A but I guess immigration wanted it under question 8 as well. He also only lived at one address except in 2003-2004 when he was away for school but that was before 2006. We filled it all out and sent it via email 3 times accidentally because the email we got back was confusing and mentioned not contacting them within a certain period. I was going to have my husband fax it too but I think he should just call and see if they received it first. I don't want to make anyone there angry.

A Question. Our friend's wife has her second interview on July 20th. The letter also stated that she need to bring current passports and photos. They say they will make their decision that day. Does that mean they are likely to say yes come since they are telling her to bring the passports and photos for her and her child?

Immigration e-mailed me today. Interview next month August 4th. From the time Havana received our application till interview its been 4 months. From mississauga till interview time it's close to 6 months. Things are moving well in Havana. Switching from consertative to liberal really did move things along faster. Im so happy this is happening. Wish everyone all the best with their applications as well. It was a nightmare to have done these papers done once and have them sent back to me for re-submission. Finally the papers were in and completed correctly. Praise God!! Now all the immigration is asking for is since the application was sent they want extra communication proof from emails, calls, messages etc. Nothing on the email was asked for me to be part of the interview. Looks like my husband will be on his own for it. What I find it weird we got notified for interview at 3 months and when he has it it will be at 4 months since it's been in Havana. I thought if you make it in the 4 month mark in Havana people don't have interviews. Maybe it will be waived or not. I had before booked my flight to go see my husband Sept 2 but I think after he has the interview which will be a month later I think he will be coming back with me. I have a feeling on that.

My question is for those who have had a interview how long after did it take 1 week or 4 weeks to hear from Havana for visa issue??

Our interview didn't result in an visa, but I believe that immigration did a good job asking the most important questions. And now…we wait.
As far as timelines - I've heard that it can be a week or it can be more than a month. And…we wait some more

How strange? To have more documents requested with no interview. This is a new path…you might be the test case. I'm not sure why they want more than 10 years of information. We were requested to update from 1997 (he graduated high school in 1997) - maybe they want every year since graduation. It is tedious. Good luck! Keep us in the loop.

Let me know when you get an email for your spouses from immigration for visa issue and how long did it take from the time of the interview until that email. How long after did your spouses pick up visa from havana. I am trying to figure out if my husband will be coming back with me early September since he has his interview August 4th.

I'm so happy about this. I was afraid that it would take longer and i would have to renew some of the documents again. I keep praying and family and friends too. I know how everyone feels to wanting their loved ones here with them. Prayers and wishes for everyone on here,
