Good luck on your interview! I am sure he will do great :-) Relating to the schedule A- it doesn't hurt for him to bring an updated one. I doubt they will ask as the file has not been in Havana for too long. It doesn't hurt to always have ready in your back pocket. Keeping my fingers crossed...

I am so happy that most people are not waiting longer than 5 months start to finish! I really hope I fall in to the category. Hoping for no interview but if we require, we will be ready. Let's hope for more positivity next week!!

Hi You will be ok! In my opinion spending 3 months together is better than spending 1 weekend. I only had 6 trips pre submitting documents. A wise woman DORYBABY told me that if I had plans to go after submission of paperwork, to include the proof of flights. I did have two trips planned and...

I submitted application on February 23 2016 and saw on the online that it was received on February 24 2016. The hubby got an email on April 14 2016 that the sponsorship was approved and sent to Havana. For anyone else in this process, every file is 100% different. CIC only sent him the email...

Hello, everyone else has been super nice with responses but perhaps you don't see how you came across as rude, insensitive amongst other things. Yes, I'm stressed because I'm sure you can relate to the process. I don't think people are here to get 'reality checks' but more information on how it...

Thank you for your response. I wouldnt describe myself as being in "panic mode', I was looking for anyone else in a similar situation. I am fully aware of the waiting game and wouldn't have put myself through this if I wasn't able to take 'deep breaths'. The sponsorship here is the only step...

I checked online on with my file number. Extremely confused and annoyed. They acknowledge that app was rec'd February 23 but started the review March 23???? It says "processing" I don't understand why it would take them 30 days to start working on it when the website says average of 30-40 days...

This is true! I've met many people in this journey and it varies 10 months is the average if a interview is required. I submitted to CIC on September 22 and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I fall in the 3-4 months mark.

I had one lawyer notarized my declaration of single status and then had a different lawyer notarized the translations. This was fine at the Cuban embassy in Toronto when they legalized and also when I went to the Consultoria for the signing. You will be fine!

Can someone explain what the "contract" for the police check is? I only submitted the paperwork he got from with the "sellos" on the back?? Is this not considered the receipt? I'm worried now because I submitted on Feb 22 and did not include this "contract".
