Heres my timeline:
Applied Toronto office for my wife: 13 May, 2012
Received First Acceptance reply for the file on: July 9, 2012
Islamabad Embassy show a processing time of: 26 days

My wife in Islamabad since then has not received anything from the Islamabad, Pakistan office. Not even a single letter or confirmation or File Number. I'm not sure whats going on, I have emailed them but no reply. I read somewhere in this blog that it might go to OTTAWA Pilot office and stay there, I hope thats not the case and it has been transferred to Islamabad. Anyone know whats going on?

P.S. This blog is really helpful, thanks guys, I hope everybody's visa gets worked out.

Everyone else Happy holidays...Safe travels wherever you may go. Laritza and I are staying very quiet for the holidays. My mom came down 2 weeks ago to help but needs to go home Tuesday to care for my sister and grandmother. She will be missed. THe days are moving so quick so I know we will be with Hubby in Cuba in no time. Aiming for mid to end of January. All depends on how long paperwork and passport takes and the go ahead from our medical team.

I am sure it will get quiet on here over the holidays...but know that I am always thinking of you ladies!! And Avana and Shuster when there is time entertain me landing and settling in stories...they warm my heart. Also make me dream of when my family will be together xoxoo

hi everyone: back from a wonderful week in cuba with hubby. Update: Embassy now wants IMM5669 question #8 filed out to age 18 instead of just past 10 years. Don't know why they are asking for this. Thinking its due to military service. He was special forces for 2 years in Angola. Problem we can't remember all the dates. Got must of the info for years but not months; hard to remember back to the late 80's.

We also had to get a new police check as the original expired. While there I got an email for hubby for "final interview December 20 at 8:30" bring police check and visa for possible issuance of visa". They then called confirming. Police check does not have to be legalized nor translated. Guess they just want to confirm nothing has happened since the original.

We're not sure if we will wait till after January 14th. Hubby heard you get visa; then you can travel. Not sure how this works with PRE or PVE??

Will keep you posted of final outcome on the 20th. Wish I was there for it.

Have a good week everyone. Hoping more calls from the embassy come to waiting and for those leaving for cuba have a fantastic time with hubby.

Hubby has had his license for 2 year, but his "drivers abstract" will not be ready by the time he comes on Sunday!! (Woo hoo)
I'll let you know when we go to the drivers center what they tell us

Hey guys I am back and trying to go through all the posts.....shuster2210....Yoani's was not ready in time either.....Ontario grants them an automatic 1 year start and they have to re-write the road test and do a road test and then the have their G1 right away.......they can take the written exam in spanish!!!! Yoani will be doing his this week and has been driving with a friend....I can't drive with him...wasn't able to do with my children and not him either!!! It's a little bit of a process but they can have their license fairly quick and then after 1 year they can do the last road test and have a full "G" license. Because they are over the age of 21 they don't have all the rules of the younger ones. Hope this helps!!! And hope your hubby made it through customs last night and you had a wonderful reuninion!!!! xo

Woo Hoo Shu :-* Soooooo happy for you Do we have to submit copies of all of our pages of our pps for hubby's interview? Cuba does not stamp our pps but does Cuba want to know if we have been everywhere else or is this just a generic e-mail of date of interview for hubby? On my way to work help? I need to send this extra paperwork of proofs of continuing communication since the app was submitted with t all copies of my pp? I have a friend going to Cuba for Xmas and will bring this to hubby for me to bring to his interview.

I only copied the main page with picture and info along with the corresponding page (canada stamp??) of my passport.

I emailed Havana with the latest phone bills and trips. Only thing hubby took was more recent pics.

NO he does not need need anything from your passport.....to verify trips send copies of boarding passes......when I went with my husband to the interview they did not ask anything of me or talk to me!!!!
