So spoke with hubby. Things are going good and not good lol, but we are in the finall phases and just dealing with lawyers etc.
As much as I want him here like yesterday, I know he will not settle down here unless we have his mom sorted out.
But it looks like he will come next Thursday or Friday. I'll know for sure on Monday after his lawyers appointment. So yeah woo hoo, 1 week to go.

He landed in October, but he got his visa way before that.. I think August maybe? They had lots of problems with the PRE after that because of military issues. Keeping my fingers crosses anyways!!

Hi everyone: I leave tomorrow for Cuba. Got an email today from Canadian Embassy in Havana. They now want a new police check and further information on form IMM5669 question #8. It asked for to age 18 or last 10 years whichever is more recent. We provided last 10 years now they want to age of 18. I contact my MP; she called me right away. Hubby was in special forces with Cuba and was in Angola for 2 years in late 1980's. I've been told to be patient and provide them with all the info; it will take longer due to his ranking and involvement with military. I'm beyond upset. It originally took us 5 months to get the police check legalized and now we are given 30 days to get them the info. when he had his interview they said nothing about police check. I'm happy I'm going tomorrow; we'll be running around trying to get this done and provided before I come home. I emailed them back asking if we have to get police certificate leglized again; haven't got a response yet. Any advice????? who's palms do we have to grease to get quicker?

Hello Ladies!!! So sorry for my absence! Yes Avana and Dbl rainbow my pequena cubanita has arrived!!! She arrived on her due date Monday Dec 3 2012 at 11pm. She was 7lbs6oz and 53cm long. She really is a blessing! Hubby and I are soo excited and well not looking forward to the next phone bill. Text messages just were not cutting it during this time. My hat goes off to all you other moms on here…giving birth is very tiring and a long process..to think KJG did it so many times…but it is true you forget the pain the moment you look at your lil one. And the first few days are crazy I honestly have to keep asking what day of the week it is…this whole week was a blur. Very lil time in between feedings/changings/cuddling to do anything let alone get sleep for myself. Today feels like the first day that I am sort of getting into a routine and I made time to come on here…next is answering hundreds of FB messgaes : ) Anyways ladies THANK YOU so much for keeping me in your thoughts last week! xoxoxoxo

Shuster…..OMG I too am so frustrated for you. This is quite a mess for you guys with the PVE/PRE and now the property. I am getting really excited though because it sounds like he will be here end of week non? Have you started clearing closet and dresser room yet?? Weeeee!

KJG….Hey girl!!!! When do you leave for your daughters wedding? I honestly cannot believe the time that has passed since Yoani has arrived…already your daughter’s wedding. He sounds like he is settling in quite well. How is his job search going? I can only imagine how crazy he is going Cuban men like to provide for their families they have a lot of pride. Weeee congrats again on your daughters wedding….when you return come back and give us a wee update!

Luvcuba….Sorry you are facing such a tough experience with your husband’s visa This sounds like a lot to deal with on top of just waiting for him to arrive. I am keeping both you and Shu in my mind this week as you both sort all this out!

I checked the spreadsheet looks great but hubby's interview is on January 07th not the 12th. On Dec 04 not only when the interview was requested as was his passport.Would there be a PPR request on the spreadsheet too or not?Take your time, you need lots of rest baby just arrived. What will her name be? How sooo very exciting for you and Mr. sassylassie. ;D Again Congratulations to you both, give a lil hug and kiss to baby for me to welcome her into the world and right on the date too. YAY!!!! I can't wait!! ...and only 7 sleeps until I see my family!! ....and we got the liberation, will be ready on Wednesday!! Seems like everything is coming together!!
