Hi Sassylassie and everyone! I haven't submitted mine yet. My husband already has all the paperwork ready (as of today) ad he will send them to me via DHL tomorrow. I am hoping that I can meet with a social worker to discuss my case with her and hopefully that she reviews my application.

I read a post about someone receiving an advice to wait one year after they are married before they start the sponsorship process? Certainly there are tips that one could learn that would speed up the process if one got to talk to the right person. Any advices?

And congratulations to everyone who has received good news lately! It really makes me happy.

Just reached two months since transfer date today! Time flies, even though it feels like every day lasts forever on its own.. weird. I'm seriously hoping to hear something from them in the next 2 weeks or so!

KJG--hubby is going tomo to check on PRE right? Keep us posted on that! Hopefully you'll get it then and wont have to play another week of this seemingly endless waiting game!

Everyone else happy waiting! I swear, we should all get patience awards after all this.... lol

I'm thinking of sending out for GCMS notes tomo or thursday. I'm nervous if we get called for an interview and they only give us two or three weeks i wont have time to order them so id rather be safe than sorry and see where my file is now anyways. Anyone who'd done this: I need hubby to sign for this right? Whats the best way to do it? Im thinking ill email it to him, he can get it printed, sign it, he can scan it back to me, then ill do the rest of it and scan it and send it back to them? is that the best way?

no I don't think so....it said on the website as long as they go to a pick-up location with their id card it will be fine.....I will find out tomorrow and let you know.....well the Carribean Transfer site is down because they have been caught in a big money laundering scheme by defrauding the USA medi system......by putting through false claims and sending the money to a Cuban account...so right now the system is frozen and that is why even duales has to do home delivery...the both use Lemargo for their transactions and until that part of Caribbean Transfers is cleared everything is frozen...... bad bad timing..especially now since the hurricane and trying to get monies to families down there..... :-[

I put some money on his phone because I had to call him the other night...only the 2nd time in three years I ever put money on his phone...and it is more for my benefit than his...but I don't think he caught on to that yet !!

Yes if you order notes it takes 30 full days to get them and they will be 30 days old.....yep...email and scan cause that is how you order them anyway...just scan the forms and reciept and they should send you an email back with in minutes saying they have received your request....it is only $5.00 so it's not overly expensive.....

Raining here more tonite than last night....and almost as windy but not quite!!!

Awesome, thanks! Hope it gives me some news and there was some movement on my file! It should have been in Havana for 5 weeks or so now, so hoping to see something from it. according to my calculations between you and Luvcuba (not highly scientific, I know) WE should get a call between Nov 9th and Nov 15th. but Luvcuva had only less than 3 weeks before interview! So wanna have them before in case we need to go that route. although, like everyone does, im hoping we get spared the stress of the interview... lol we'll see!

I hope to submit soon, in a week approx. And my husband was told today by the people who translate documents in Cuba (ESTI?) that they don't provide affidavits, which are required as per the sponsorship guide. Did you guys also failed to submit affidavits from the translator in Cuba?

you don't need any affidavits...just certified translations.......his birth cert. police report, marriage cert. id card
