I hope KJG's interview went really well and her hubby got his visa same day!! Can't wait to hear the details!

I have been thinking about them and praying all week. I hope she comes back with great news! Has anyone heard from her?

Nope!! she said she would be back on the 8th really late though I think! But she would post as soon as she could!! can't wait to celebrate good news!!

Haven't heard a damn thing. I emailed Havana again today, they have not changed hubby's address to the proper address in ecas and I sent them notice if that July 17t, and then I also let them know we haven't receive an AOR.
I received a generic response that info would be added to the file and that they wouldn't respond if they were withing the time frame. But I've never received the AOR with the do not disturb date lol.
So frustrating....
Hoping to book my ticket this weekend and head down the 26th.
Don't wanna book too early cause right now varadero flights are $25!!! Hoping my dates prices will drop too!!! Lol

I don't think I know what the AOR is.....lol SO I ony have my email stating I can sponsor and my file has been sent to Havana...does Havana send confirmation as well and this is the AOR?

Your email is an AOR- acknowledgment of receipt. We are supposed to receive one from the visa office with another file number, and also a do not disturb date, basically saying they have your file and do not contact them until the date.
Just keep waiting and hoping for some news soon

Shuster-- I can t believe you have heard NOTHING!

I was starting to feel really proud of Havana after seeing they are the fastest VO in the Americas and number 13 out of 44 VOs, and that most people hear something from them within 3 months of their file being transfered. You must be SO frustrated that you got nothing! It has me worried cuz I was really hoping to hear something from them end of Nov or early Dec but now it makes me feel like it wont be possible for hubby to come back with me and my family who will be traveling there over the xmas holidays. :'( I feel like you must be REALLY close to hearing from them! Lets hope for next week!! Maybe it's taking longer because they're not going to require you guys to have an interview? Which would be awesome for you, then it's only a matter of ur hubby bringing the passport in for the visa and then PVE/PRE!

Now that I've gotten verbal confirmation from Quebec that our papers were accepted, and the only thing left is Havana, I've gotten more depressed than ever. My husband feels it when we talk and it's all starting to get to me. He's trying to cheer me up constantly, but I guess the whole thing has taken its toll on me... I keep dreaming of our future together, and imagining us going to Niagara falls next march. I even started planning our montreal wedding yesterday and called venues and everything (we're having a bigger more traditional reception here next summer). I figured the LATEST he could be here would be march of 2013 and the earliest Jan of 2013.. but maybe my expectations were too high.... ugh.

I cant wait for KJG to come back and give us some good news (and give us hope)!! maybe that'll help with my constant bitter mood lately!

I'm the same Avana. Hubby didn't know what to say last night to make me feel better. This is awful, and I think it's worse knowing Kjg is a month ahead of me and had their interview.
I had a feeling our interview might be waived, hoping that's what's happening lol

We are close in age, no kids, no previous marriages, etc.
Heres hoping lol.

And with Monday being a holiday there's only 4 work days next week so hopefully they will accomplish something!!
I'm going down the 26th!! Hopefully I'll have news by then....
I've been dreaming of having him here for Christmas.

I also am planning a big wedding here. My family did not come to Cuba for the wedding, they do not believe in long distance relationships, but they are ready to meet him and welcome him to the family once he is here!!!

I dont know Ive been a grumpy mess the past few days and poor him he's the only one who I show it to... lol He's also feeling the stress but when I told him the great news that CSQ had passed and was in the mail he got super happy and I was still all meh about it...

I have a feeling your interview might be waived and thats why it's taking a month or so more, because then there's no waiting!! For all you know you could get a call next week and he could be going to Havana with his passport and it'll all be done! I always think of that. Every day seems soooo long and sooo drawn out, and then when something happens you realize it wasn't so bad in the first place. Waiting for the approval from CIC seemed like forever, but then when I got it, its all behind us, and it seems so much worst now waiting for the VO.

My situation is similar to yours. Hubby is 4 years older than me (which in my opinion is a pretty normal thing), neither of us have been married or have kids. I'm hoping for you to hear something!

Have you started the planning of your wedding?? are you in Toronto? I was calling venues yesterday for summer 2013 and they all thought I was crazy for starting so late, but its only October! I can;t be thaaat late!

I think yours will definitely be here by XMAS! Has to!! Theres still 3 months to accomplish that!

My good friend and her hubby applied from Cuba, he was here in just under 7 months (including his exit permit) and they're interview was waived

Hoping we get as lucky too... I dont mind doing the interview.. because we've known each other for 4 years but it just makes everything longer..... It would be perfect for him to come back with us in January and it would be a friday and i would have 4 days off to spend time with him here before going back to work full time! I'm just hoping, wishing and praying for all of us, and YOU! and everyone on here that is apart from the family they love. waiting is just torture!

the 7 months would work for Shuster if her hubby gets here in Nov, and Jan would make it just under 7 months for us too! Lets hope we can by on that lucky train!

Yeah her and her hubby have very little age difference (i think 3-4 years) no dependents, no previous marriages. They had a formal (beautiful!!) wedding in Cuba, so I am not sure if it had anything to do with it, but yeah they gave him the visa no questions asked, hopefully its the same for you!

I'm 31 he is 35. We met through mutual friends, he's never worked in tourism, but he did work in security so I have a feeling they are being a little more thorough with his security checks.

We married one year after meeting, but I made 6 trips down in that time, and we also had tons of communication proof.

I was really hoping to hear something this past week, so last night I was quite down and out.
Here's hoping for this week!!!
Our took over 3 months in Mississauga, and now it's been in Havana since July 13ish so let's hope this 3 months is almost over!!!
