I agree! We are getting married December 6th, but I am hoping that with the visitor visa he might be able to come back with me in December, at least for some time. Once he's here, we will start the sponsorship process. Good luck to you and have a great 2 weeks with your hubby!

we are still waiting, Embassy contacted my husband in September, they require his son's medical even though he is remaining in Cuba.

Hi

If a medical is only good 1 yr why do they need that My I ask his age ?

Hi

do children over 22 of Cubans staying in Cuba require medicals if their father is married to a canadian and being sponsored by thier spouses

Hi Galano1213

From the CIC website:

"If you apply for permanent residence, you must have an immigration medical exam. Your dependants must also have a medical exam, even if they are not coming with you"

In our case the son is 13, and we will have to pay 405 CUCs for the medical :(

Hi

Thank you My husband has a married daughter who is a school teacher and over 25 and she is staying in Cuba with her husband but the form asks for her info. So she will not need a medical as far as I can find on the web site of CIC Is that correct ?

Before the medical was free my husband got his done on February this year when we apply and it was free, but as I can see now not free anymore wow lol

Just an update: my fiancé was told that he would have the answer on the 27th so I will update once we hear back!

I Applied June 17 and my husband just landed yesterday in Toronto, with a 5 minute landing process, super fast.
I was going to Cuba for our first wedding anniversary and guess what the embassy called and requested him for a visit to the embassy, went with him to Havana, nice, really enjoyed it. As Canadians we are not allowed to go in, a couple hours later we had the VISA on his passport.
It was a pretty easy process, 5 months....
Good luck to all you guys...
Cheers

That's what I've always thought too, but nice to hear it verified! ;) I'll know if my pension for paperwork completing pays off, tomorrow!
