Hi

My understanding is that the Canadian Tourist card you get on the plane is good for 3 months. I know we can live in a Casa Particular for that long. So I am looking at only 60 days in his house Is that correct ? Do they want a passport photo ?

According to the cuban embassy website, the visitors visa is 30 days, and can be re-newed at the hotel or immigration office for another 30 days. As for staying at your husband's house, this needs to be done through the government with a Family Visa (A-2). You can not just stay at his place legally without that visa (you can try and get away with it illegally, but to be honest, I wouldn't seeing as this will ruin any chance of immigration if he is caught). Or you stay at a casa particular for foreigners (the ones with the blue sign).

Hi

The tourist card allows its holder to stay in Cuba for 90 days from the date of entry into the country, and is valid for 1 entry into Cuba. For a stay of more than 90 days, one can request an extension of another 3 months at any tourism office in Cuba, for a maximum stay of 6 months.

Interesting, because on the official cuban embassy website, it's 30 days. That is also an old visa, as they stopped asking for address/hotel info a while ago.

Does anyone know of, or heard of, a spouse being contacted by a previous employer as part of the immigration process? I'm thinking that the telegram my husband got is unrelated, but not sure. He quit his job at the resort before we were married (not allowed being married to a tourist), and now his employer is asking him to go to the office.

Hi

My husband worked at a resort as well and I have not heard of the employer being contacted.

Happy NewYear

Has anyone received a request for passport yet that applied I July ?
